    • Resumes running, hitting
Hays (calf) said that he's been able to engage in a running program the past few days and plans to hit Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Manager Brandon Hyde implied Monday that Hays had made limited progress in his recovery from a left calf strain, but the outfielder struck a much more optimistic tone when he talked about where he stood in his rehab program Thursday. Hays admitted he's unsure whether he'll need a rehab assignment prior to being activated from the 10-day injured list, as the Orioles could just allow him to get some competitive at-bats in during simulated games. Regardless, Hays likely won't be in store for an everyday role whenever he's activated, as rookie Colton Cowser appears to have established himself as Baltimore's top option in left field. • Out against lefty
Outman isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The lefty-hitting outfielder will begin on the bench for the third straight game as the Dodgers take on another southpaw in Jordan Montgomery. The outfield will comprise of Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages and Chris Taylor as Outman watches the start from the dugout. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:55 pm
    • Takes seat Wednesday
Chourio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: The rookie will bow out of the lineup for the series finale while Jake Bauers picks up a start in left field alongside Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick. After opening his big-league career by producing hits in 11 of his first 13 games, Chourio has fallen into a massive slump since mid-April. Over his subsequent 14 games, Chourio has gone 6-for-43 (.140) while getting on base at a .196 clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:51 am
    • Swipes bag in Tuesday's win
Tatis went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a steal, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Tatis also reached base once more via a hit by pitch and stole his first bag since April 16. Coming into Tuesday, his numbers at the dish have been misleading. He was just 5-for-40 over his last 10 games, but posted a 72.4 percent hard-hit rate and averaged an exit velocity of 96.9 mph. He's experiencing some bad luck at the moment, which should turn around sooner than later. For the season, Tatis is slashing .238/.326/.437 with six homers, 17 RBI, 22 runs, four steals and a 15:27 BB:K in 144 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:44 am
    • Out versus lefty
Outman isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Outman will begin the game on the bench for the second straight day with Arizona starting another southpaw, Jordan Montgomery. Chris Taylor, Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez will round out the Dodgers' outfield Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:11 pm
    • Austin Hays (calf) not doing much activity
Austin Hays (calf) is getting better according to Orioles manager Brandon Hyde, but hasn’t been able to participate in much physical activity.

Advice: Hays was somewhat surprisingly placed on the injured list with a left calf strain last Monday, and it doesn’t appear he’s near a return at this point. The 28-year-old has likely missed enough time that he’ll need a rehab assignment, and it sounds like there’s at least a few more days before Hays takes part in that. Rotoworld Monday, 3:42 pm

    • Limited progress in recovery
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that Hays (calf) is showing improvement, but the outfielder has yet to take part in much physical activity since landing on the 10-day injured list April 22, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Hays is eligible for activation later this week, but he doesn't appear to have made enough progress at this point in his recovery from the left calf strain for his return to be viewed as imminent. Prior to being shelved with the injury, Hays hit just .111 over 45 at-bats on the season and had ceded his spot in the everyday lineup to rookie Colton Cowser. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:06 pm

    • Cranks two homers in victory
Benintendi went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and six RBI in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Rays.

Advice: Benintendi's huge game came out of nowhere -- not only were the two long balls his first two of the campaign, but the multi-hit effort was his first such performance since April 15. The veteran outfielder's power has dropped off dramatically in recent seasons, as he swatted just 10 home runs over 277 contests across 2022 and 2023. Saturday's performance was the sixth multi-homer effort of Benintendi's career, and his six RBI tied a career high, while the walk-off blast was his first as a major-leaguer. • Andrew Benintendi hits walk-off homer in 10th vs. Rays
Andrew Benintendi drove in six runs, homered twice including a walk-off homer to give the White Sox an 8-7 victory over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: A massive game for Benintendi as the White Sox shockingly win the series against the Rays. The outfielder hit a three-run homer in the fourth off Aaron Civale, but the more significant roundtripper is a two-run blast in extra innings that gave Chicago the win. A nice day indeed, but Benintendi is still struggling with a slash of .191/.224/.277. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:08 pm
