    • Gets break Friday
Rafaela is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rafaela will get a break as Boston kicks off their series against the Cardinals. The second year major leaguer has played primarily at shortstop this season for the Red Sox, though this is the first game since mid-April that he'll get a break from the field altogether as he's filled in at outfield when not starting at short. • Belts fourth homer
Neto went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Neto singled in his first at-bat before being thrown out trying to steal second. He would then add a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth to extend the Angels' lead to four runs, giving the shortstop his fourth long ball of the season and his second in May. Neto has now hit safely in three straight games and hasn't struck out over that stretch after striking out five times in the previous three contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:26 am

    • Zach Neto blasts solo homer in win
Zach Neto went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Neto knocked a single to lead off the second inning, but was caught stealing second. He’s now just 6-for-11 on steal attempts. Neto got around all the bases in the sixth, taking Nick Robertson deep for a solo homer. The 23-year-old shortstop is hitting .250/.297/.392 with four homers, 14 runs scored, 14 RBI, and six steals across 158 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:23 pm

    • Retreating to bench
Rosario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Rosario will head to the bench after he had started in each of the previous four games while seeing time at three different spots in the infield (second base, third base and shortstop). Though the right-handed-hitting Rosario should remain a mainstay in the lineup versus lefties, his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching could be more limited moving forward after the Rays activated the lefty-hitting Jonathan Aranda from the injured list Tuesday. • Swats fourth homer Tuesday
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Rays.

Advice: It was a roller coaster night for the 23-year-old. Rafaela gave Boston a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning by taking Aaron Civale deep for his fourth long ball of the year, but his throwing error in the top of the 11th nearly gave Tampa Bay the win. The Red Sox were able to tie the game back up in the bottom of the frame, though, in part thanks to Rafaela's sacrifice bunt, before winning it in the 12th. Rafaela has collected a hit in 10 of 12 contests in May, batting .275 (11-for-40) on the month with two doubles and two homers, but his 1:11 BB:K is a warning sign that his numbers could swoon quickly as they did in April (.515 OPS in 26 games.) • Rafaela homers in win over Rays
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a home run and a sac bunt in a win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: The 23-year-old got a little bit lucky on a 344-foot home run that was well-hit at 102.5 mph off the bat but would have only been a home run in eight MLB stadiums. However, it continues a solid stretch of production for the rookie who has gone 16-for-52 (.308) over his last 15 games with three home runs, 13 RBI, seven runs, and one steal. He still has 14 strikeouts to just one walk over that span, so his long swing will continue to be an issue for him as he adjusts to MLB pitching, but we’re starting to see some of the fantasy potential shine through, which makes him worthy of an add in deeper formats. • Sitting Tuesday
Neto isn't in the Angels' lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Neto will get a rare day off after going 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during Monday's series opener. Luis Guillorme will fill in at shortstop while Kyren Paris mans the keystone. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:32 pm

    • Smacks leadoff homer
Betts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Betts snapped a 26-game homer drought with his leadoff blast Monday. He was far from a slouch in that span, batting .337 with an .848 OPS during the power drought. For the season, Betts is up to a .341/.440/.553 slash line with seven homers, 28 RBI, 35 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 11 doubles and two triples over 200 plate appearances. While it has cost him some power, Betts is enjoying the best plate discipline of his career with a 15.0 percent walk rate and 9.0 percent strikeout rate. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:48 pm

    • Homers in consecutive games
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Bogaerts has doubled his homer total for the year from two to four by going deep in each of the last two games. Prior to the power uptick, he endured an 0-for-15 slump over four contests. The veteran infielder is still battling inconsistency with a .212/.264/.318 slash line, 13 RBI, 23 runs scored, two stolen bases and six doubles through 182 plate appearances this season. He's never posted an OPS lower than .659 in a full campaign, and there's plenty of time for Bogaerts to turn things around in 2024. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:29 pm
