    The Cardinals recalled Scott from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Lewis racked up three of the Twins' nine hits and accounted for their final run of the contest with a solo shot to left field in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old third baseman continues to swing a potent bat, as he's gone deep eight times across just 57 plate appearances this season.     The Yankees optioned Misiewicz to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Wednesday's game versus Baltimore.

    Advice: Misiewicz made his first appearance of the season during Wednesday's loss, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one batter in a scoreless inning. The 29-year-old will now return to Triple-A just one day after having his contract selected, though he will keep his spot on the 40-man roster. He owns a 3.23 ERA and 1.16 WHIP through 30.2 innings with the RailRiders and could be a candidate to return to New York later in the summer if the Yankees need a fresh bullpen arm.     Royce Lewis clubbed his eighth home run of the season on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t enough for the Twins to overcome the Rays in extra innings.

    Advice: The 25-year-old superstar did his damage in the fifth inning, tagging Taj Bradley for a 410-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot that gave the Twins a 2-1 advantage. That would wind up being the extent of their offense. He also singled twice in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4.     Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to record the save against the White Sox on Wednesday.

    The Cubs traded Sanchez to the Marlins on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.

    Advice: Sanchez has spent the entire season with Triple-A Iowa, slashing .240/.338/.388 with 21 RBI across 148 plate appearances. Given the awful seasons Nick Fortes and Christian Bethancourt have both had in the majors, it's possible Sanchez gets his first look in the big leagues since 2021 if he continues at his current pace.     According to Katie Woo of The Athletic, the Cardinals plan to promote Adam Kloffenstein from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday.

    Advice: The 23-year-old right-hander has posted a 3.97 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 68/29 K/BB ratio over 77 innings in 14 starts at Triple-A Memphis this season. It’s unclear if he’ll actually get an opportunity to start with the Cardinals, or will function as a long man out of their bullpen while he’s up.
