• Tyler Freeman goes 3-for-5, doubles twice
Tyler Freeman went 3-for-5 and doubled twice as the Guardians’ leadoff man Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman won’t be spending much time in the leadoff spot after Steven Kwan comes off the IL, but he looks like a lineup fixture right now. His .228/.324/.370 line makes him a league-average hitter, which is kind of sad but also definite progress from the 25-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:15 pm

  • Abrams hits ninth home run Monday
CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: The Nationals scored four runs in the first inning and Abrams’ solo shot in the second inning made the score 5-0. He hit 18 home runs in 151 games last year and is halfway to that mark in only 49 games so far this season. Fantasy managers didn’t draft Abrams for his power, though. While he stole 47 bases last year, he has just eight steals so far this year.

  • Adames blasts eighth home run Monday
Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Adames came to the plate with two men on and one out in a 1-0 game in the eighth inning. He blasted a Hayden Wesneski offering to center for a no-doubt home run. The home run was Adames’ eighth of the season and he already has a career-high eight stolen bases.

  • Added to roster
The Mariners selected Bliss's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder receives his first major-league promotion after putting up a .247/.382/.445 batting line with seven home runs and 28 stolen bases this season with Tacoma. The right-handed hitting Bliss plays both middle infield spots and could get some starts at second base versus lefties due to Jorge Polanco (hamstring) going down. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:17 pm

  • Mariners bring up Ryan Bliss for MLB debut
Mariners selected the contract of INF Ryan Bliss from Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: The 24-year-old Bliss will make his major league debut after hitting .247/.382/.445 with seven homers and 28 steals for Tacoma. The Mariners could have called him up earlier after J.P. Crawford got hurt, but that apparently was too big of a downgrade defensively at shortstop. Bliss fits better at second, though he’d been splitting time between the spots in the minors. He’ll likely mostly back up Dylan Moore while Jorge Polanco is out, though he should start versus lefties with Moore moving to third. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:08 pm

  • Triples, drives in three
Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run triple in Monday's 11-3 loss to Baltimore.

Advice: The utility man has seen inconsistent playing time for Boston this season, garnering 36 plate appearances in 14 games played. The 27-year-old will continue to draw the occasional start, especially against lefties who he has batted .316 against this season. After Monday's performance, Gonzalez is now batting .273 with zero home runs, five RBI and two runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:02 pm

  • Ryan Bliss joins taxi squad for Mariners
Infielder Ryan Bliss has joined the Mariners taxi squad ahead of Monday’s game.

Advice: It looks like Bliss will make his major league debut if Jorge Polanco is forced to the IL due to his hamstring injury. Bliss, who was part of last year’s Paul Seward trade with the Diamondbacks, was hitting .247/.382/.445 with seven homers and 28 steals in 50 games with Triple-A Tacoma. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:26 pm

  • On taxi squad
Bliss has been added to the Mariners' taxi squad in case he's needed to replace Jorge Polanco (hamstring) on the roster, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Bliss, 24, has slashed .247/.382/.445 with seven home runs and 28 stolen bases with Triple-A Tacoma this season. Acquired from the Diamondbacks in last year's Paul Sewald trade, Bliss is not currently on the Mariners' 40-man roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:25 pm

  • Vidal Bruján out of Monday’s lineup versus Padres
After going 0-for-3 in an increasingly rare start Sunday, Vidal Bruján is out of the lineup for Monday’s game.

Advice: Bruján was the Marlins’ primary second baseman before Tim Anderson got hurt, at which point he switched over to shortstop and Otto López took over at second. Unfortunately for Bruján, López got hot, and now Bruján has lost his spot with Anderson back, even though Anderson is running neck and neck with Andrew Benintendi for the title of baseball’s worst player. So, Bruján, one of the Marlins’ best players to date even if that’s not saying much, has been out of the lineup five times in the last six games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:20 pm
