• Pops grand slam
Siri went 1-for-4 with a grand slam Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Siri has been in and out of the Rays' lineup since both Jonny DeLuca and Josh Lowe have been activated from the injured list. While Siri has started five of the team's last eight games, the majority of his playing time moving forward is likely to come against lefties -- in favor of Lowe. He did manage a timely home run Sunday, though that was his first hit across 17 plate appearances in May. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago
  • Looks sharp in no-decision
Elder pitched well in Sunday's loss to the Mets but did not factor into the decision. He allowed two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out six in 5.1 innings.

Advice: Elder fell just two outs short of his second quality start of the year. The lone damage against him came off the bat of Pete Alonso, who had an RBI single in the third and another run scoring double in the sixth. Elder tossed 65 of 85 pitches for strikes and managed to not issue any free passes after allowing eight walks over his last 8.2 innings. The 25-year-old owns a 4.79 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB in 20.2 innings and lines up for a home start against the Padres his next time out. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Hits in four of five games
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a double and a walk Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Lowe has appeared in five games since returning from an oblique and hamstring injury, and he's reached base in all four of his starts. He's hit either second or third in the Rays' lineup, though he did sit in the team's only game against a lefty since he was activated. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
  • Charged with blown save
Minter was charged with a blown save in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets after allowing two runs on two hits while managing to get just one out.

Advice: Minter was called upon to close things out in the ninth with Raisel Iglesias unavailable to pitch and failed to take advantage. Jeff McNeil reached on a bunt single before Brandon Nimmo ended things with a two-run walk off homer to center field. Minter has now suffered three blown saves this season and has coughed up runs in two of his last three outings. He owns a 3.78 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB in 16.2 innings. • Four perfect frames in rehab start
Snell (thigh) struck out seven over four perfect innings in his first rehab start with Single-A San Jose on Sunday.

Advice: Snell even completed an immaculate inning in the first as part of an impressive showing from the southpaw. The results should be taken with a grain of salt given the level of competition, but the bottom line for Snell was certainly encouraging. Snell got his pitch count up to 46 in his four efficient frames, which would seem to point to him needing at least one more rehab start. That has not yet been confirmed, however. He's been out since late April with a Grade 2 adductor strain. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Two hits in win
Cooper started at first base and went 2-for-3 with a double in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Cooper recorded his first multi-hit game since being acquired by the Red Sox on April 28. He was eventually pinch hit for by the left-handed hitting Dominic Smith in the eighth inning against a righty reliever with a runner in scoring position. With Triston Casas (oblique) on the 60-day injured list, first base has become a rotation involving Cooper, Smith and Romy Gonzalez. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
  • Continues hot stretch
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Diaz launched his second homer in as many games and his third of the season. He has turned his results around in May, as he's maintained a .333 average with eight RBI and eight runs scored across 10 games. Diaz remains locked in as the Rays' leadoff hitter and should be a strong source of batting average and runs scored moving forward. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

  • Sends one out Sunday
Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Kelenic got Atlanta on the board first with a solo home run off Luis Severino in the second inning. He now has two home runs in the last week after having none in all of April and is slashing .274/.322/.393 with seven RBI, 10 runs and a 6:29 BB:K in 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
  • Struggles in rehab start
Urquidy (forearm) allowed three runs on three hits and one walk over 2.2 innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.

Advice: Urquidy did strike out three, but he served up a home run and was able to record just eight outs. His four-seamer velocity averaged 91.6 mph, which was down 1.5 mph from last season. The right-hander had been targeting 60-to-65 pitches but wound up throwing only 48, so he'll certainly need at least 1-to-2 more rehab starts before rejoining the Astros' rotation. Urquidy has been out all season with a right forearm strain. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
