    • Secures save Tuesday
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Miller took a blown save in his last outing, though it was because he allowed an inherited runner to score. He's struggled a bit lately, allowing nine runs (six earned) with a 16:7 K:BB across 12.1 innings over his last 10 appearances. He's still performing quite well in the closer role for the Athletics, pitching to a 2.20 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB over 32.2 innings while going 13-for-15 in save chances this year. • Mason Miller perfect in ninth for 13th save
Mason Miller recorded his 13th save with a scoreless ninth against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller had it easy tonight, getting one strikeout and a pair of routine flies. He’s had some hiccups of late, but he remains about as good of a bet as any reliever from an ERA and strikeout perspective. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:55 pm

    • Tallies three hits, including homer
Vientos went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 24-year-old third baseman opened the game's scoring by scorching a 409-foot solo homer off Michael Lorenzen in the second inning. Vientos has been hot since securing the hot corner in Queens when Brett Baty was demoted May 31, hitting .333 (19-for-57) with three homers, 11 runs scored and 11 RBI. Overall, Vientos is slashing .317/.375/.554 in 112 total plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm

    • Mark Vientos homers, scores three times in victory
Mark Vientos went 3-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored as the Mets came from behind the edge the Rangers 7-6 on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mets were down 6-2 after five, yet still won their seventh game in a row. Vientos is now batting a cool .317/.375/.554 with six homers in 112 plate appearances. He’s not going to keep hitting for average like this, but the power is legit. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:46 pm

    • Jasson Domínguez out with oblique strain
Jasson Domínguez is dealing with an oblique strain.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed late Tuesday that Domínguez has been diagnosed with an oblique strain, which sent him to the minor league injured list over the weekend. The timing is really unfortunate for New York since there’s a possibility Aaron Judge could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list after being hit by a pitch on the left hand during Tuesday’s win over the Orioles. • Nestor Cortes blanks O’s for six innings in win
Nestor Cortes pitched six scoreless innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: Cortes needed 25 pitches to get through the first inning, thanks in part to back-to-back singles by Adley Rutschman and Ryan Mountcastle. He would eventually settle in to pitch six scoreless innings without walking a batter. The five hits Cortes allowed all came on singles as he did everything within reason to hold a powerful Orioles lineup in check. Cortes has been feisty at home all season and draws another home start on Sunday against the Braves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm
    • Sidelined for eight weeks
The Yankees placed Rizzo on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right forearm fracture.

Advice: Per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, Rizzo will be shut down from all activities for up to five weeks, and it will be eight weeks until he's ready to play in games. Ben Rice is up to take his roster spot and is starting at first base Tuesday against the Orioles in his major-league debut. The Yankees also figure to use DJ LeMahieu at first base and Oswaldo Cabrera at third base some days while Rizzo is shelved. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:43 pm
    • Yankees put Cody Poteet on IL with triceps strain
Yankees placed RHP Cody Poteet on the 15-day injured list with a right triceps strain.

Advice: No word yet on how long Poteet will be sidelined as he’s pitched extremely well in a handful of starts with a pristine 2.14 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 13/7 K/BB ratio across 21 innings (four starts). It’ll be Gerrit Cole taking his spot later this week in New York’s starting rotation. Any extended absence would be a hit to the Yankees’ pitching depth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm

    • Out with strained triceps
The Yankees placed Poteet on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right triceps strain, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Poteet will be shut down from throwing for up to two weeks before being re-evaluated. He's fared well in four starts with the Yankees this season, posting a 2.14 ERA and 13:7 K:BB over 21 innings. However, with Gerrit Cole (elbow) due back this week, Poteet's future role was already looking uncertain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:22 pm
