      Advice: Manager Mark Kotsay hadn't ruled out Ruiz making an in-game appearance Sunday, but that situation never arose in an ugly 12-3 loss for the Athletics.       Advice: Chisholm drew a leadoff walk, then stole second and third before scoring during Miami's four-run first inning. He added two singles later in the contest, including an RBI knock in the sixth. Chisholm had gone 11 straight games without a multi-hit effort, posting a .607 OPS during that span.       Jazz Chisholm went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored, and two steals in a win over the A’s.

      Advice: Chisholm’s two hits were both singles and both were under 93 mph off the bat; however, he made the most of both trips on the bases with two steals, which gives him seven on the season. The 26-year-old is slashing just .234/.319/.383 on the season and is just one of many Marlins off to a slow start to 2024.       Ruiz suffered a wrist injury on a diving catch in the sixth inning of Saturday's win over the Marlins and was removed from the game, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Ruiz appeared to hurt his glove hand and remained down for a brief time following the catch, cradling his left wrist as he exited the field with team trainers.       Advice: The 25-year-old speedster suffered the injury while making a tremendous diving catch in left field.       Advice: Tatis opened the game's scoring in the fourth inning with a two-run home run off Slade Cecconi. The Padres right fielder added an additional RBI the next inning with a single.       Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in a 7-1 win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: The Padres were able to hit three homers Friday in the easy win, and Tatis Jr. swatted the first of those roundtrippers with a two-run shot in the fourth. The 25-year-old star also singled home a run in the fifth, and he’s up to seven homers and 20 RBI over the first month-plus.       Ruiz entered Wednesday's win over the Pirates as a pinch runner in the bottom of the eighth inning, recording a stolen base and subsequently scoring a run.

      Advice: The speedy outfielder offered a spark off the bench after being tasked with running for Abraham Toro, swiping second base and subsequently coming home on Kyle McCann's single. The steal was only Ruiz's fourth in 16 games this season, but his second in the last three contests. The 25-year-old has also shown a welcome increase in pop early in the campaign, as he sports an impressive .861 OPS thanks in large part to having laced five of his nine hits for extra bases.       Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Cabrera tagged Corbin Burnes for a two-run shot in the fifth inning, plating Jose Trevino for the Yankees' only runs. The long ball was Cabrera's first since April 13. His two hits were his first of the series, entering Wednesday's contest 0-for-7 in the first two games of the four-game bill.
