    • Notches fourth homer
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run during Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Cabrera tagged Corbin Burnes for a two-run shot in the fifth inning, plating Jose Trevino for the Yankees' only runs. The long ball was Cabrera's first since April 13. His two hits were his first of the series, entering Wednesday's contest 0-for-7 in the first two games of the four-game bill. Through 110 plate appearances, Cabrera is slashing .262/.300/.417 with 18 RBI and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Emmanuel Clase earns tenth save vs. Astros
Emmanuel Clase struck out one batter in a scoreless tenth inning to earn the save against the Astros.

Advice: After the Guardians took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, Clase was called on to close it out in the bottom of the frame. He struck out the first batter, then got Mauricio Dubón to line into a double play with the help of an outstanding diving catch by Steven Kwan. Clase is up to nine saves with a 0.55 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and a 16/1 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings of work. Rotoworld Today, 8:00 pm
    • Oswaldo Cabrera powers Yankees past Orioles
Oswaldo Cabrera swatted a two-run homer off of Corbin Burnes on Wednesday night, powering the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Cabrera accounted for the only scoring for either team in the ballgame, poking a 352-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-out, two-run homer just over the wall in right field and just inside the foul pole to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He also singled in the ballgame and swiped a base, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, the versatile 25-year-old is now hitting .262/.300/.417 with four homers, 18 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 6:09 pm

    • Mason Miller silences Pirates in non-save spot
Mason Miller fired a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation against the Pirates.

Advice: Miller got the call to protect a four-run lead in the final frame after needing 16 pitches to close out Tuesday’s victory less than 24 hours ago. He got Jack Suwinski to ground out and fanned Henry Davis before coaxing a game-ending ground out from Ke’Bryan Hayes. He averaged 100.8 mph on his fastball and needed just 10 pitches to spin a perfect frame. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty has reeled off 12 consecutive scoreless appearances since April 2, and has converted eight saves to go along with a microscopic 1.26 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 29/4 K/BB ratio across 14 1/3 innings of work. Simply put, he’s one of the best relievers in baseball already. Rotoworld Today, 3:07 pm

    • Another lefty pitcher
Muncy is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The third baseman got the start Monday versus Arizona's lefty pitcher Tommy Henry in the first game of the series, but Muncy will begin in the dugout Wednesday for the second straight game against southpaw Jordan Montgomery. Enrique Hernandez will get the start at third and bat fifth in the series finale. Rotowire.com Today, 3:05 pm
    • Seth Lugo holds Jays to one run, earns fifth win
Seth Lugo pitched seven innings of one-run ball in defeating the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Lugo fanned eight today, giving him 17 strikeouts in his last two outings. He totaled just 14 in his first five starts of the year, so this is a big improvement. That he opened up 3-0 with a 1.05 ERA looked like a fluke, given where his stuff was at, but these last two wins have seemed quite a bit more legitimate. Rotoworld Today, 2:49 pm
    • Starting at shortstop Wednesday
Brujan will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Brujan had been set to get the day off, but he'll be pressed into the starting nine at shortstop after Tim Anderson (thumb) was scratched from the lineup. Rotowire.com Today, 1:08 pm

    • Moves to bench Wednesday
Brujan is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: With Tim Anderson (thumb) returning to action following a one-game absence, Brujan will head to the bench after filling in as Miami's starting shortstop in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win. Before Tuesday, Brujan had started three of the Marlins' previous four games at third base, and he'll continue to vie with Emmanuel Rivera for playing time at that position until Jake Burger (oblique) returns from the 10-day injured list. • Returns from IL
The Orioles reinstated Means (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Though manager Brandon Hyde had already noted Monday that Means was on track to rejoin the rotation for this weekend's series in Cincinnati, the Orioles activated him early since the southpaw's 30-day minor-league rehab window officially came to an end. The Orioles placed Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move, so Means' arrival means that the team should have room in the rotation for at least one of Albert Suarez and Cole Irvin, or even both pitchers if Hyde elects to go with a six-man rotation. Means struggled mightily through the first five starts of his rehab stint with Triple-A Norfolk (13.89 ERA, 2.31 WHIP in 11.2 innings), but he closed his minor-league assignment in dominant fashion Sunday, striking out eight over seven shutout innings and allowing just one hit and one walk. He tossed 95 pitches (61 strikes) in the outing and is unlikely to face any major restrictions when he makes his 2024 Orioles debut, likely Friday or Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:46 am
