    • Royals ink Jesus Tinoco to minor league contract
Royals signed RHP Jesus Tinoco to a minor league contract.

Advice: Tinoco winds up latching on with Kansas City as extra organizational relief depth after electing free agency last week following his removal from the Rangers’ 40-man roster. The 29-year-old righty holds an underwhelming 8.10 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 9/7 K/BB ratio across 10 innings (nine appearances) this season. He’ll head to Triple-A Omaha for now. Rotoworld Today, 1:49 pm
    • Rejoins big club
The Mariners recalled Snider from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: The right-hander has joined the Mariners on Tuesday for his third stint in the majors this season. Snider has allowed two earned runs with a 5:2 K:BB over five innings for the Mariners, and he has a 3.44 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 17 outings at Triple-A. Rotowire.com Today, 1:44 pm
    • Mariners recall reliever Collin Snider on Tuesday
Mariners recalled RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Snider joins Seattle’s bullpen mix ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Rays with starter Bryan Woo hitting the injured list with a hamstring strain. The 28-year-old righty is back for a third stint this season with the Mariners and figures to be up-and-down over the next few months. Rotoworld Today, 1:39 pm
    • Third rehab outing coming
Faedo (hip) is scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After tossing a scoreless inning in his first minor-league appearance, Faedo surrendered four hits, two walks and a run across 1.1 innings Saturday. He's been on the IL since June 5 but is expected to rejoin the active roster soon. In fact, Tuesday's outing could be his last at Toledo. Rotowire.com Today, 1:06 pm

    • Strong showing in live BP
Santos (lat) came away from his live batting practice session Saturday feeling very encouraged after deploying his sinker/slider combination, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santos faced rookies Ryan Bliss and Tyler Locklear before Saturday's game in Miami and flummoxed both players consistently, not allowing either to put the ball in play over the quick 10-pitch session. Santos is slated to throw another bullpen session during the Mariners' current three-game series at Tropicana Field against the Rays, with another live batting practice a possibility in the days following. Assuming he continues free of setbacks through those sessions, Santos would then be set to begin a fairly lengthy rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 9:48 am
    • Shifts rehab to Triple-A
Otto (shoulder) has given up three earned runs on one hit and four walks while striking out four across three innings between his two appearances since shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Advice: Otto has 33 big-league starts on his resume, but given that he hasn't covered more than two innings in any of his five rehab appearances between Triple-A and the rookie-level Arizona Complex League thus far, the Padres look to be preparing him for a relief role upon his return from the 15-day injured list. The right-hander has been on the shelf all season with a right teres major strain. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:12 pm

    • Beginning assignment Tuesday
Borucki (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Borucki graduated to facing live hitters over the weekend and will now head to the minor leagues after experiencing no issues following his latest session of live BP. The 30-year-old southpaw has been on the injured list since early April and is aiming to return to Pittsburgh's bullpen ahead of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:57 am

    • Chase Silseth gets hit hard in third rehab start
Chase Silseth (elbow) was hit hard in his third minor league rehab start at Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, giving up five runs on eight hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 24-year-old right-hander also issued three walks while striking out a pair in the ballgame. He has been abysmal through three starts at the Triple-A level this season, posting a 10.22 ERA, 2.43 WHIP and a 9/11 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings. He did get up to 92 pitches (56 strikes) in the outing though and with the recent injuries to Jose Soriano and Patrick Sandoval, the Angels may have no choice but to bring Silseth up and roll him out at some point next week. • Gregory Santos (lat) faces hitters on Saturday
Gregory Santos (lat) faced hitters on Saturday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: Santos continues to progress towards making his Seattle debut after a spring training lat issue put him on the shelf to open the year. There’s a chance he’s ready to bolster the Mariners’ high-leverage relief mix at some point in a couple weeks, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:12 pm
