    • Orioles call up reliever Heasley from minors
Orioles recalled reliever Jonathan Heasley from Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: With John Means landing on the 15-day IL, the Orioles are calling up Heasley to add depth to their bullpen. The 27-year-old has thrown 4 1/3 innings with the Orioles this year and has an unsightly 12.46 ERA; however, he’s been much more effective in Triple-A with a 0.45 ERA and 0.70 WHIP in 20 innings, striking out 18 and walking just four. With Cole Irvin likely to take Means’ place in the rotation, Heasley could give the Orioles length out of the bullpen. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
    • Rehab assignment continuing
Andujar (knee) is slated to remain at Triple-A Las Vegas for several more rehab games, per the the Associated Press, and he went 0-for-4 with a walk in the Aviators' loss to Tacoma on Wednesday.

Advice: Andujar put in a full game's worth of plate appearances at designated hitter, and he's apparently set to spend at least a few more days with Las Vegas before activation is considered. The veteran has played four games with the Aviators so far, hitting .357 (5-for-14) with three doubles, five RBI, Wednesday's walk and a run. However, he's only played defense in one of those contests, logging six innings in left field against El Paso on Saturday. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

    • Fraley remains out of Reds lineup on Thursday
Jake Fraley (hand) is out of the lineup on Thursday with Nick Martini starting in right field again.

Advice: Fraley was hit on the hand on Tuesday but the x-rays came back negative. He’s still dealing with some soreness, so the Reds will give him another day off with Nick Martini in the lineup hitting sixth. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Nick Lodolo “aiming to return on Monday”
According to The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith, Nick Lodolo (groin) will throw a bullpen on Saturday and is “aiming to return on Monday.”

Advice: Lodolo threw a bullpen on Wednesday and felt good, so the bullpen on Saturday could be the final step to getting him back on the mound in an MLB game. That will mean his stay on the IL was the minimum amount of time, so the Reds feel that a rehab start is unnecessary. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Joins big-league bullpen
The Orioles recalled Heasley from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Heasley has been torched for seven runs (six earned) over 4.1 innings during his time with the Orioles this season. He's been much better at Norfolk, though, yielding just one run with an 18:4 K:BB in 20 frames. The right-hander should operate in middle relief. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago
    • TJ Friedl hopes to take batting practice soon
According to The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith, TJ Friedl (broken thumb) “continues to progress” and hopes to take “batting practice soon.”

Advice: TJ Friedl is back to hitting off flips as he works back from a broken thumb. Once he is able to take batting practice, his next step will likely be live at-bats and a rehab assignment. It’s possible that he could be back around mid-June but it will depend on how his thumb feels while taking live swings. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Mariners send Cody Bolton to minors
Mariners optioned reliever Cody Bolton to Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: With the team acquiring Michael Baumann from the Orioles yesterday, they needed to make space on the active roster, so Bolton will head to the minors. The 25-year-old had pitched to a 4.41 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 16 1/3 innings but struck out just 14 batters while walking eight. He figures to get another shot later in the season. • Rowdy Tellez starting versus lefty
Rowdy Tellez is starting for the Pirates and hitting seventh despite facing a left-handed pitcher.

Advice: The Pirates opted to sit Jack Suwinski against a lefty but instead of playing either Michael A. Taylor or Edward Olivares in the outfield, they decided to let Connor Joe play the outfield and put Tellez at first. Both Olivares and Taylor played on Wednesday night against a left-handed starter, so it’s possible that the team decided to give them a day off, but it’s telling that the club would rather have Tellez play against a lefty than Suwinski or have either of those outfielders play two days in a row. Tellez is hitting just .181/.250/.233 on the season and is not a recommended play in any fantasy leagues. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

    • Rehab assignment imminent
Boyle (back) is set to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas in coming days, the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Boyle completed a "two-up" bullpen session Sunday that apparently went well, given the news of a rehab assignment serving as his next step. The right-hander was placed on the injured list May 6 after being lifted from a start against the Marlins a day earlier due to the injury, and he may need only one or two rehab starts before being deemed ready for activation.
