    Kelly (shoulder) is expected to be held out through the All-Star break, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports Saturday.

    Advice: Manager Torey Lovullo noted that Kelly hasn't thrown beyond 75 feet yet and is being brought along slowly. The 35-year-old has been sidelined since late April and hadn't started a throwing program until June 4.     Darvish (groin) threw a bullpen session Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

    Advice: Darvish simulated three innings in the session, tossing 60 pitches. The veteran hurler said before throwing the bullpen that he expects the session to be sufficient ramp-up to allow him to return to the Padres' rotation without a rehab assignment.     Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Trea Turner (hamstring) could potentially return on Sunday.

    Advice: Turner continued running at full-speed on Saturday and could potentially be activated for Sunday’s series finale against the Orioles. It’s possible they’ll elect to wait until Monday’s series opener against the Padres, but it certainly appears that the 30-year-old superstar shortstop isn’t far off from returning for Philadelphia.   • Fans six in Friday's loss
    Gausman (5-5) took the loss Friday as the Blue Jays fell 3-1 to the Guardians, giving up three runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

    Advice: The right-hander's velocity was erratic all night -- his very first fastball to Steven Kwan to lead off the game clocked at only 89 mph, but one batter later he popped 94.4 mph against Andres Gimenez. Without consistent stuff, Gausman wound up getting tagged for five extra-base hits, including a Will Brennan solo shot in the fourth inning. He was able to minimize the damage, however, and Gausman's now given up three runs or fewer in five of his last six starts, producing a 3.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB through 38.2 innings over that stretch.   • Freddy Peralta surrenders six runs to Reds
    Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

    Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one.     Peralta (4-4) yielded six runs on 10 hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Reds.

    Advice: Peralta gave up two home runs in the loss, including a two-run shot by Jeimer Candelario in the fifth inning. He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May.     Kevin Gausman lost to the Guardians after allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings on Friday.

    Advice: Gausman’s velocity was well down for a second straight start tonight, even though he was working with an extra day off. It’s a definite cause for concern at this point; there’d be much more reason to expect Gausman to bounce back while throwing 94 mph than there is while he’s throwing 92.   • Marcell Ozuna crushes 19th home run in win
    Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, walk, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

    Advice: Ozuna got the Braves going early, taking Zack Littell deep to the opposite field in the first inning and Atlanta wouldn’t look back. Ozuna tied Kyle Tucker for third in the league with 19 home runs and has been one of the best offensive players in baseball so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:03 pm

    Gore (6-5) earned the win Friday over the Marlins, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out 10.

    Advice: Gore was excellent Friday, holding Miami to a lone second-inning run en route to his fourth win in his last five starts. It's the third double-digit strikeout outing for Gore this year as he lowered his ERA to 3.24 with a 1.32 WHIP and 91:23 K:BB through 14 starts (75 innings) this season.
