    • Records 17th steal Sunday
Rodriguez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez's hit was only his second in the last 31 plate appearances, a seven-game span where the talented outfielder has generated an anemic .069 average and .198 OPS. The multi-game skid has temporarily erased a lot of the progress Rodriguez had made after a slow start to the season, as his slash line has dropped to a middling .247/.297/.327. However, there are underlying metrics that suggest Rodriguez is running into some tough luck as well -- he owns an expected batting average and slugging percentage of .272 and .434, respectively, and he's also boasting a career-best 21.7 percent line-drive rate. • Two doubles in loss
Soler went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's extra-innings loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Soler doubled in his first at-bat before coming around to score the Giants' first run of the game on a sac fly from Heliot Ramos. The slugger then added an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2 in the third, giving him three extra-base hits over his last three games. Soler is now batting .275 this month -- a far cry from his .164 average in May -- with three homers, eight doubles, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 am
    • Resting against southpaw
Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Lowe will sit for the second time in the series against Washington while the Nationals send another southpaw (Patrick Corbin) to the hill. Jonny DeLuca will pick up the start in right field in Lowe's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:32 am

    • Julio Rodríguez goes hitless Saturday vs. Twins
Julio Rodríguez went 0-for-4 on Saturday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: It’s been a trying first half for Rodríguez, who went hitless during Saturday’s losing effort despite a scalding a 102-mph line-drive off Twins starter Pablo López in the third inning that went for a lineout. The 23-year-old franchise cornerstone’s latest hitless performance drops his full-season batting average back down to a pedestrian .248 mark. The even more problematic development for fantasy purposes is that he’s gone deep just seven times this season, with nearly half of those coming over his last 30 games. He’s mired in an extended tailspin at the dish right now, batting .138 (8-for-58) with two homers and zero steals over his last 15 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:50 am
    • Tallies ninth homer
Robert went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored Saturday against the Rockies.

Advice: Robert went deep in the sixth inning to record his ninth home run of the season and second in his last three games. He also has at least one hit in eight of last 10 starts, tallying seven runs scored and two stolen bases in that span. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:42 pm
    • Jorge Soler doubles twice in loss to Dodgers
Jorge Soler went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and an RBI as the Giants fell to the Dodgers in extra innings on Saturday evening in San Francisco.

Advice: Soler led off the home half of the first inning with a double off of Tyler Glasnow, then scored the team’s first run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Heliot Ramos. Soler also drove in a run of his own with an RBI double off of Glasnow in the third inning, tying the game at 2-2. Perhaps staying in the leadoff spot is the way to get him going. Soler is now hitting .226/.306/.389 with nine homers and 30 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:06 pm
    • Luis Robert Jr. blasts solo homer in victory
Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs scored, and a walk against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Robert Jr. led off the sixth inning with a game-tying solo homer off Cal Quantrill, his nine homer of the season and seventh in June. He then drew a walk to lead off the eighth and scored on a base hit by Andrew Vaughn. Robert struck out to end the same frame as Chicago hit around the order. Despite the power surge this month, the 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .207/.285/.505 with 13 RBI and three steals across 123 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:55 pm
    • Out against left-hander
Lowe is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: With southpaw Mitchell Parker on the hill for the Nationals, the left-handed hitting Lowe will begin this one on the bench. Jonny DeLuca will occupy right field. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:08 pm

    • Blasts eighth homer
Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger.
