    • Short outing vs. Mariners
McKenzie (3-4) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over 2.1 innings without recording a strikeout.

Advice: After holding the Mariners scoreless through his first two innings, McKenzie allowed five of the first six batters to reach safely in the third, ultimately allowing four runs before the Guardians turned to the bullpen. The 26-year-old McKenzie has struggled of late -- he hasn't made it through six innings in five straight starts, posting a 7.04 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA is up to 4.48 on the season with a 1.46 WHIP and 65:42 K:BB across 70.1 innings. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home versus Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 9:15 pm
    • Jansen picks up 13th save in win over Blue Jays
Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Jansen has now picked up saves in back-to-back days and has recorded four saves in the month of June. The hard-throwing righty has allowed one run in his last 6 1/3 innings pitched while striking out eight batters to just one walk. Rotoworld Today, 7:48 pm
    • McKenzie can’t escape third inning in loss
Triston McKenzie allowed four runs on three hits in 2 1/3 while walking four and striking out nobody in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: This is now the fifth straight subpar start for McKenzie, who had an uptick in velocity tonight but saw no benefit from it. We know he’s pitching through an injury, and he’s just clearly not healthy when he’s out there on the mound right now. He didn’t throw a single slider in the strike zone tonight and had just a 40 percent zone rate overall. With Gavin Williams on the way back, you have to wonder if McKenzie might be in jeopardy of losing his spot in the rotation. He’ll take a 4.48 ERA into an okay matchup against the Blue Jays this weekend, but he’s simply tough to trust right now. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm
    • Battling tendinitis
Manager David Bell said Candelario was removed from Tuesday's win over the Pirates due to tendinitis, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Candelario appeared to be in a bit of pain while running the bases during Tuesday's game, eventually leading to his removal during the eighth inning. However, the Reds' skipper noted that the 30-year-old infielder is not at risk of spending time on the injured list, and he seemed confident that the injury will go away relatively quickly. Should Candelario have to miss any games, Santiago Espinal figures to be the next man up to start at third base. Rotowire.com Today, 7:09 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario exits game with tendinitis issue
Jeimer Candelario was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Pirates with general fatigue and tendinitis.

Advice: Reds manager David Bell told reporters afterwards that Candelario isn’t in danger of requiring a trip to the injured list. It sounds like more of a day-to-day maintenance issue than anything else. Rotoworld Today, 6:28 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario leaves game with apparent injury
Jeimer Candelario was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Pirates with an apparent injury.

Advice: Candelario didn’t look right during an eighth-inning at-bat and was replaced by Spencer Steer at first base in the bottom of the eighth inning. There should be an update on his status soon. Rotoworld Today, 5:45 pm

    • J.T. Realmuto (knee) aims to return next month
J.T. Realmuto (knee) told reporters Tuesday that he’s planning to return by next month’s All-Star break.

Advice: Realmuto is roughly one week removed from right knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear and is hoping to get back into game action, barring any setbacks, in the days leading up to the All-Star break, which begins on July 15. It’s not unrealistic to think he’ll be ready to go afterwards, even if he doesn’t meet that aggressive timeline. Rotoworld Today, 5:35 pm

    • Sitting against lefty
Melendez isn't in the Royals' lineup for Tuesday's game versus Oakland.

Advice: The A's will send Hogan Harris to the mound to begin Tuesday's contest, so the left-handed bat of Melendez will remain on the bench to begin the game. Garrett Hampson will fill the opening in left field while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:40 pm

Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Colorado will send left-hander Austin Gomber to the mound Tuesday, so the lefty-hitting Lux will sit down to begin the game. Chris Taylor will fill in at the keystone and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:31 pm
