    • Trea Turner hits first home run off IL
Trea Turner went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner has hit safely in all three games since returning from his hamstring injury yet this home run was his first extra-base hit. He smacked it 110.6 MPH off the bat, two MPH harder than he’s hit a ball all season. That’s a welcome sight because his power lagged before the injury with just three home runs in April before going down. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Homers, drives in three in loss
Turner went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner hit a two-run home run off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning then added an RBI single with the bases loaded in the seventh. Turner has gone 5-for-14 since returning from the injured list with a hamstring injury, and the homer was his first since April 17. He has been excellent when healthy this season, slashing .344/.389/.470 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 29 runs scored and 10 steals over 162 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

    • Homers, drives in four in win
Martinez went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 11-1 victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Martinez opened the scoring with a three-run home run off Shota Imanaga in the first inning, and he then added an RBI single in the fourth. Martinez went 1-for-10 in a quiet series against the Rangers earlier this week but continued a nice June, as he's now hitting .297 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 64 at-bats. On the season, he owns a .287 average with nine homers and 31 RBI in 178 at-bats. Rotowire.com Today, 3:13 pm

    • Zac Gallen to throw another sim game on Monday
Zac Gallen (hamstring) is expected to throw around 70 pitches in another simulated game on Monday.

Advice: Assuming all goes well with that session, the expectation is that he’ll rejoin the Diamondbacks’ rotation next weekend against the Athletics. The 28-year-old hurler had posted a 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 60/15 K/BB ratio over 57 2/3 innings through his first 11 starts. Rotoworld Today, 3:03 pm

    • J.D. Martinez homers, drives in four in rout
J.D. Martinez delivered a three-run homer and an RBI single Friday as the Mets torched the Cubs 11-1.

Advice: Martinez is 11-for-27 with four homers, three doubles and 12 RBI in his last eight games. His current .870 OPS is practically a match for his career mark of .873, but it’s especially impressive given the current conditions, especially for a Mets hitter. Unfortunately, he’s probably going to lose his streak of five straight All-Star appearances, unless maybe the NL carries a third DH alongside Shohei Ohtani and Marcell Ozuna. • Justin Verlander (neck) has yet to resume throwing
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that right-hander Justin Verlander (neck) has yet to resume throwing.

Advice: There had been hope that he would resume throwing earlier in the week, but it’s taking much longer than expected for his neck discomfort to dissipate. At this point, there’s no clear timetable for when the 41-year-old hurler will be able to rejoin the Astros’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 2:18 pm
    • Three hits, steal in blowout win
Henderson went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Thursday's 17-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson stayed hot Thursday, extending his hitting streak to 13 games and his on-base streak to 27 contests. Over the longer span, he's gone 32-for-106 (.302) with 17 extra-base hits, five steals and 22 walks. The 22-year-old is at a .279/.376/.589 slash line with 12 steals, 22 home runs, 50 RBI and 62 runs scored through 73 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:08 pm
    • Homers in win
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Gimenez entered the contest 0-for-13 over his last three games. The homer was his first since May 22, and it was his first extra-base hit since June 8. The second baseman is at a .257/.310/.357 slash line with five homers, 12 stolen bases, 37 RBI and 37 runs scored through 67 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 pm

    • Homers, extends hitting streak
Diaz went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Twins.

Advice: Diaz collected two hits, including his fifth homer of the season, to extend his hitting streak to 13 games and his on-base streak to 22 games. He's batting .351 over the course of the hit streak, though he has just one home run, one double, four RBI and six runs scored to show for his efforts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm
