    Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Rangers on Monday.



    Advice: Nimmo is now 10-for-17 (.588) with six runs scored and seven RBI over his last four games. His average is up to .240 with a .756 OPS and 39 RBI on the season. It’s been a down season for Nimmo, a career .266 hitter, but he seems to be turning it around at the plate lately.

  • Jazz Chisholm Jr. reaches base five times in loss
    Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-2 with an RBI on Monday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

    Advice: Chisholm walked three times in the extra-inning marathon, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances, but it wasn’t enough as Miami lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games since June 7. He also delivered a game-tying RBI triple against Cardinals starter Sonny Gray in the sixth inning.     Advice: O'Neill hit two of Boston's four home runs Monday for his first multi-homer game since April 5. He's up to 14 long balls this season but just six of those have come since the start of May. The slugging outfielder is slashing .258/.354/.534 with 25 RBI through 206 plate appearances.     Greene went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI in Monday's 2-1 loss to Atlanta.

    Advice: Greene didn't get much support from the rest of the lineup but it was still a good day for the young outfielder. He's been locked in this month with a .305 batting average across 15 games, and that's pushed his overall average to .254.     Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

    Butler is expected to be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Butler looks to be set to return to the major-league roster after being sent down in mid-May. With J.D. Davis being designated for assignment Monday, Butler will likely slot in as his replacement with Oakland. Butler has produced a .255 average with four home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 110 at-bats in 27 contests with Las Vegas since being demoted.   • Dealing with hamstring injury
    Friedl suffered a hamstring injury and exited Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates in the bottom of the fifth inning, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

    Advice: Friedl made a diving catch in center field, robbing Nick Gonzales of an extra-base hit in the bottom of the fifth, injuring his hamstring in the process. Manager David Bell said that Friedl had a full range of motion and strength, stating that the hamstring was "just tight."
