• JJ Bleday doubles three times in Oakland’s win
JJ Bleday doubled three times and drove in two runs Tuesday in leading the A’s to a 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: All three doubles were on long flyballs that left his bat between 102 and 103 mph and traveled from 349 to 373 feet. Bleday is now tied for third in the majors with 22 doubles. Some of his other stats are a perfect match for his 2023 totals; he currently has 10 homers and 27 RBI in 302 plate appearances after finishing with 10 homers and 27 RBI in 303 plate appearances last year. However, since he’s picked it up when it comes to singles and doubles, he’s currently sporting an .820 OPS that’s far better than last year’s. .665 mark. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

  • Hogan Harris gets first victory of 2024
Hogan Harris yielded three runs — one earned — in five innings Tuesday in a victory over the Royals.

Advice: It’s the first win and decision in four starts and two relief appearances for Harris this season. The 27-year-old had a 7.14 ERA in six starts and eight relief appearances for Oakland last year, but he’s at 2.37 right now, having struck out 26 and walked 11 in 30 1/3 innings. He still seems like someone to avoid for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:55 pm

  • Nick Loftin hits first big-league homer for Royals
Nick Loftin collected his first major league homer Tuesday off Oakland’s Hogan Harris.

Advice: Loftin’s homer came in his 160th plate appearance since he debuted last year. He’s batting .253/.351/.304 in 95 plate appearances while helping to fill in for Michael Massey this season. That’s definitely a bigger contribution than Adam Frazier has made thus far, but Loftin is still probably going to be optioned out once Massey returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 pm

  • Collects first save
Thompson picked up the save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over San Francisco. He pitched a scoreless inning while striking out the side.

Advice: The Cubs right-hander wasted no time in gathering his fourth career save, requiring 15 pitches to fan three Giants hitters in the ninth inning. Thompson has a 4.30 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 14.2 innings this season. Although he earned the save Tuesday, don't expect saves chances to continue coming his way, as the back of the Chicago bullpen -- Hector Neris, Mark Leiter and Hayden Wesneski -- all pitched in Monday's loss. • Will Brennan has three hits in loss
Will Brennan went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in a loss to the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: Brennan is playing against all right-handed pitchers and is now 12-for-37 (.324) in 12 games in June. He has six home runs and three steals on the season, so he doesn’t bring tons of fantasy value to the table, but his consistent spot in the middle of the Guardians’ lineup gives him some value in deeper formats. • Santiago Espinal homers in win over Pirates
Santiago Espinal went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Espinal’s home run accounted for the only runs the Reds would score, or need to score, on Tuesday. It was Espinal’s first start in over a week and just his fourth home run of the season to go along with a .204 average. He remains off fantasy radars, but it was a good day for him today. • Ke’Bryan Hayes homers in loss
Ke’Bryan Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Hayes was the only one to get to Nick Lodolo on the day, hitting a 382-foot shot for his third home run on the season. The 27-year-old has not had the breakout season many were hoping for, but he is hitting .250 with two home runs and four steals in 14 games in June, so he has been putting together decent fantasy value. He makes a lot of contact and is likely headed to his third straight double-digit stolen base season, but the power may never develop with any consistency. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm
  • Six hits across doubleheader
Bleday went 6-for-9 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored as the Athletics lost both games of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Twins.

Advice: Bleday's best performance was in the nightcap, when he went 4-for-5 with his homer. The outfielder had been warming up after a slow start to June -- he now has multiple hits in four of his last six games. He's at a .254/.337/.462 slash line with 10 homers, 25 RBI, 31 runs scored and no stolen bases through 74 contests this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:23 pm

  • Earns 13th save
Megill allowed a hit and a walk over a scoreless inning Sunday, striking out one and earning a save over the Reds.

Advice: Megill ran into trouble and nearly blew the save, but Blake Perkins saved the day with a game-ending outfield assist. He's converted seven straight saves since blowing a chance against the Marlins on May 20 and is now 13 for 14 this season. Megill owns a 26:7 K:BB and a 2.14 ERA through 21 innings.
