• Luis Rengifo (wrist) expects to play on Monday
Luis Rengifo (wrist) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to play on Monday.

Advice: Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game after being drilled in the wrist by a ball off the bat of Matt Chapman. He did undergo precautionary X-rays that ruled out any fractures though and was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion. While he wants to play on Monday, it’s possible that the Angels give him an extra day off to rest. He won’t be looking at any sort of extended absence though. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:10 pm

  • Luis Rengifo diagnosed with left wrist contusion
Luis Rengifo was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion after being hit by a batted ball during Sunday’s contest against the Giants.

Advice: Presumably, he has already undergone imaging that ruled out any fractures, but the announcement from the Angels was simply that he was dealing with a left wrist contusion. It sounds like Rengifo was fortunate to have avoided any more serious injury, but his status should still be monitored over the next few days to be on the safe side. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:00 pm

  • Luis Rengifo leaves game with wrist injury Sunday
Luis Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game against the Giants after injuring his left wrist in the fourth inning.

Advice: A hard-hit ball off the bat of Matt Chapman deflected off of Rengifo’s wrist at third base and he immediately went down in pain. He’ll head for imaging to see if there’s any damage structurally. The Angels should have an update on the dynamic 27-year-old infielder’s status after the game. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:57 pm

  • De La Cruz homers, steals base in loss Sunday
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored, a solo home run, a triple and a stolen base against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: De La Cruz filled up the box score on Sunday. The home run was his 12th of the season and the stolen base was his 36th. He’s hitting .235, but he’s been the most explosive player in fantasy this year. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:27 pm
  • Alec Bohm with three more hits Sunday
Alec Bohm went 3-for-4 with a double, walk, and two runs batted in on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: April Bohm is back. He had eight hits and five RBI this weekend in Baltimore without striking out as he continues in what’s been a true breakout season for the third basemen. His 57 RBI are second most in the National League, behind only Marcell Ozuna. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:45 pm

  • Austin Riley heating up, homers again
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-tying two-run home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: Congratulations to all the fantasy managers who kept their patience with Riley because the hot streak is officially here. He homered in every game this weekend and has raised his OPS from .618 to .695 since Friday. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:26 pm

  • Remains out Sunday
Smith (undisclosed) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Smith is on the bench for a third straight game due to an injury that manager Bruce Bochy has termed as "general tightness." Ezequiel Duran will get a second consecutive start at third base in place of the banged-up Smith. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:59 pm

  • Josh Smith (tightness) remains out Sunday vs. M’s
Josh Smith (tightness) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Smith did appear as a pinch-hitter against the Mariners in the Rangers’ loss to Seattle on Saturday, but he’ll begin Sunday’s game on the bench with Ezequiel Duran getting the start at third base. Smith should still be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:58 am

  • Two doubles, stolen base in win
McMahon went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 16-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: McMahon doubled in his third trip to the plate and advanced to third on a sacrifice fly before stealing home to increase Colorado's lead to five runs. The third baseman would add an RBI double in the eighth, giving him his sixth extra-base hit over his last four games. McMahon has also recorded multiple hits and scored two runs in three of his last four contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:33 am
