    Advice: Gorman opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and also provided the Cardinals with their winning run by adding an RBI single in the 10th. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over the last nine games, a span in which he's gone 11-for-32 (.344) with four homers and 10 RBI. He's up to a .223/.310/.457 slash line, 11 long balls, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases through 51 contests. Gorman has been a near-everyday player lately, though the Cardinals called up Jose Fermin on Friday for infield depth, which could lead to Gorman sitting out against some southpaws moving forward.     Jones (undisclosed) returned from the 7-day injured list Saturday and started in center field in Triple-A Albuquerque's 10-9 win over Oklahoma City, going 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks, two stolen bases and an additional run.

    Advice: Jones hadn't played for Albuquerque since April 21 due to the unspecified injury, but he picked up right where he left off in his return to action for the Triple-A club. Through 80 plate appearances on the season, Jones is slashing .254/.375/.418 with a pair of home runs and 14 stolen bases.     Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre reinstated Vivas (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

    Advice: Vivas has made five starts since being activated, going 4-for-17 with four walks, three RBI and three runs. The 23-year-old has already been on the IL on two occasions in 2024, as he opened the season on the shelf due to an orbital fracture that he suffered late in spring training.     Nolan Gorman went 2-for-4, homered and drove in three runs on Sunday night as the Cardinals triumphed over the Phillies 5-4 in 10 innings.

    Advice: Gorman got the scoring started with a bang, crushing a 367-foot (108.6 mph EV) two-out, two-run shot off of Phillies’ right-hander Taijuan Walker in the opening frame. He then smacked a two-out go-ahead RBI single off of Gregory Soto to give the Cardinals the lead in the 10th inning.   • Bryson Stott swipes two bases in loss to Cards
    Bryson Stott drove in a pair of runs and swiped two bases as the Phillies fell to the Cardinals in 10 innings on Sunday night.

    Advice: Stott drew a walk off of Lance Lynn in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Phillies were unable to cash him in. He then tied the game up and chased Lynn with a two-run single in the fifth inning. Stott then deftly nabbed second base again, but the Phillies once again couldn’t score him.     Marte went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double and a walk Sunday against the Mets, finishing with three RBI and two runs scored.

    Advice: Marte got the scoring going in the top of the first with a leadoff homer against Jose Quintana. He saved his best for last though, launching a decisive two-run shot in the ninth to propel Arizona to a 5-4 victory. The multi-HR performance was Marte's first of the season and the seventh of his career.     Triple-A Charlotte placed Shewmake on its 7-day injured list Sunday due to an unspecified injury.

    Advice: After receiving limited playing time with the White Sox, Shewmake was optioned to Charlotte on May 17 and had settled into an everyday role with the Triple-A club.
