He hadn't hit a homer since May 8, but he made up for it with a three-run blast in the second inning and a solo shot in the sixth. Witt also had an RBI single and a sacrifice fly in the contest.     Swanson (knee) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, 10-inning win over Atlanta.

    Advice: Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games.     Advice: While the Tigers struggled as a team, Keith continued to roll. The rookie is batting a robust .441 over his last 10 contests and he's recorded three or more hits in a game three times already this month. Keith came into May batting just .154 but he's pushed that up to .230, and the 22-year-old has a prospect pedigree that suggests he'll be able to sustain this level of play.   • Nick Gonzales delivers walk-off hit vs SF
    Nick Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a game-winning single in a 7-6 win over the Giants in 10 innings on Tuesday.

    Advice: The 24-year-old laced a 98 mph single off Erik Miller to score the game-winning run after David Bednar stranded the inherited runner on second in the top half of the inning. Gonzales is now hitting .282/.310/.462 with nine RBI in 11 games since being called up from Triple-A. Considering he had also made some real strides in his plate discipline at Triple-A and was hitting .358 in 30 games, Gonzales might be worth an add in deeper formats while he’s playing every day in Pittsburgh.   • Oneil Cruz sets Statcast record on 3 hits in win
    Oneil Cruz went 3-for-5 with one RBI in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.

    Advice: All three of Cruz’s hits were blasted with a 121.5 mph double, a 120.4 mph single, and a 116.3 mph double. He’s now the first player in the Statcast era to have three hits in one game over 115 mph, and his 121.5 mph double is the hardest-hit ball in MLB action this year, topping the 120.4 mph single he hit earlier in the game today. That’s quite a performance. Cruz is 19-for-64 (.297) in May with four home runs, 10 runs scored, and 11 RBI.   • Torres’ three-run homer not enough in Yanks loss
    Gleyber Torres went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Mariners.

    Advice: Torres’ three-run homer in the seventh gave the Yankees their first runs of the evening after they spent the first six innings being stifled by Bryan Woo. Torres’ homer, his third on the season, ended shutout but didn’t prove to be enough for the Yankees, who were held scoreless the rest of the way.   • Dylan Moore homers twice as Mariners down Yankees
    Dylan Moore went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Yankees.

    Advice: Moore pulled a pitch on the outside black of the plate 402 feet to left field for a two-run homer to give the Mariners a lead in the top of the third. He would later single in the seventh inning to drive in Mitch Garver and homered again in the ninth, accounting for four of the Mariners’ six runs driven in on the afternoon.   • Bobby Witt Jr. homers twice, drives in six vs. DET
    Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.



    Advice: Witt drove in Maikel Garcia in the bottom of the first to give the Royals a 1-0 lead after Garcia started things off with a leadoff triple. That was just the start for Witt, who would later blast a three-run homer 468 feet to center field to put the Royals up 5-0 and hit another homer in the sixth inning just for good measure.   • Isaac Paredes drives in two on three-hit night
    Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

    Advice: Paredes singled home two runs in the bottom of the first to give the Rays an early lead. Unfortunately, it would be the only two runs the Rays would score on the evening, as the lineup remained limited for much of the afternoon despite Paredes’ three-hit night.
