• Swats first homer
Hedges went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Saturday in a 7-1 victory versus the Angels.

Advice: Hedges put the Guardians on the board in the second inning, plating two runs with a blast to left field. The long ball was the veteran catcher's first of the season and just his fourth hit overall through 31 plate appearances. Both Hedges and fellow backstop Bo Naylor (who played DH on Saturday) have struggled mightily in the early part of the campaign, though each went deep Saturday as the duo combined to drive in six of Cleveland's seven runs. • Blows game open with grand slam
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's 7-1 victory against the Angels.

Advice: The contest was relatively close heading into the bottom of the sixth frame, as Cleveland held a narrow 3-1 lead. However, Angels starter Reid Detmers walked three batters in the inning, and Naylor made him pay for the wildness by crushing a two-out grand slam. The homer nearly doubled Naylor's season RBI total from five to nine, and it snapped a 15-game stretch without a long ball. Aside from Saturday's big blast, it's been a pretty rough season for the backstop, as he's slashing just .183/.280/.305 with a massive 38.7 percent strikeout rate through 93 plate appearances. • Homers in lopsided victory
Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a triple, a three-run home run and two additional runs scored in a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Langeliers' 420-foot shot to left center with Kyle McCann and Lawrence Butler aboard in the eighth inning certainly wasn't necessary for the red-hot Athletics' victory, but it still had a bit of extra significance since it pushed Oakland's tally to 20 runs on the afternoon. Langeliers needed a prolific effort at the plate like Saturday's in the worst way, considering he'd come into the day with a .165/.222/.381 slash line. The three-bagger was also Langeliers' first of the season after he legged out four triples a year ago, and despite his significant struggles with batting average and on-base percentage, he's now knocked 11 of his 19 hits on the season for extra bases. • Bo Naylor crushes grand slam, Guardians rout Angels
Bo Naylor walloped a grand slam on Saturday, leading the Guardians to a decisive 7-1 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Naylor’s first career grand slam came off Angels starter Reid Detmers in the sixth inning and wound up putting the contest away for good. It was his third big fly of the season and first time he’s left the yard since April 10. The 24-year-old former top prospect has gotten off to an extremely slow start this season at the plate, but continues to play regularly as Cleveland’s backstop of the future. • Shea Langeliers goes deep in A’s win over Marlins
Shea Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI against the Marlins in Saturday.

Advice: Langeliers tripled in the second inning and scored the first run of the game on a base hit by Darell Hernaiz. He added a single to lead off the seventh and came around to score on a double by JJ Bleday. With the game already out of hand, he made it 20 runs for Oakland with a three-run homer in the eighth inning. The 26-year-old slugger is batting .186/.246/.441 with seven homers and 16 RBI across 114 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:24 pm
  • Nick Fortes hits first homer in loss to A’s
Nick Fortes went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Fortes drove in one of four runs for the Marlins in their blowout loss on Saturday. He took Paul Blackburn deep for a solo homer in the sixth inning, his first of the season. The 27-year-old backstop is slashing an abysmal .141/.179/.219 with five RBI across 68 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm
  • Headed back to Triple-A
Pages will be optioned to Triple-A Memphis prior to Sunday's game against the White Sox, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He was up as a third catcher for a bit but will clear out to make room for Dylan Carlson's (shoulder) return from the injured list. Pages is 0-for-2 in four plate appearances with the big club, although he did have a go-ahead sac fly in the ninth inning of a comeback win over the Tigers earlier this week.
