    • Emerson Hancock goes seven strong in no-decision
Emerson Hancock held the White Sox to two runs in seven innings in a no-decision Thursday.

Advice: Hancock was making a spot start for the Mariners as they pushed back their rotation a day, and the results were mostly solid. He gave up back-to-back homers in the third to Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr., but he didn’t see anyone else cross the plate. Hancock has been a mediocre option when getting the ball in 2024, but there is certainly talent in his right arm. He could start again next week against Cleveland. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago

    • Munoz throws six scoreless in no-decision
Roddery Munoz tossed six scoreless innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Thursday.

Advice: Munoz gave up one hit, walked one and struck out five. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before it was broken up by Harrison Bader’s single. Munoz had allowed six home runs in his last two starts and eight home runs in 19 2/3 innings, but was almost untouchable against the Mets. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals at home next week.

    • Severino allows one in no-decision Thursday
Luis Severino allowed one run in six innings and got a no-decision in the Mets’ 3-2 victory over the Marlins on Thursday.

Advice: Severino gave up seven hits, walked three and struck out two. He’s allowed only one run in three of his last four starts. Severino’s two strikeouts were a season-low for him. His ERA is now 3.12 on the season. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rangers on the road next week.

    • Tosses bullpen session
Gonzales (forearm) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wednesday's session marked Gonzales' first time throwing off a slope since hitting the injured list. He's expected to continue to ramp up with side sessions before heading out on what will presumably be a lengthy rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 4:19 pm

    • Pitching final sim game
Kershaw (shoulder) will throw a three-inning simulated game Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Kershaw most recently tossed a two-inning simulated game with the Dodgers' Single-A affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga on June 7, with reports suggesting that his fastball touched 90 miles per hour in the outing. He'll increase his workload in Thursday's simulated game, which will be his last before he begins what will likely be a multi-start minor-league rehab assignment, according to Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register.
