    • Sparks rally Monday
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: It was a close game until the sixth inning, when Perez ignited a six-run rally for the Royals with his solo shot. The catcher has hit safely in six straight games, going 10-for-21 (.476) in that span. the homer was his first since May 3. Perez remains one of the top hitters in baseball this season with a .341/.404/.565 slash line, nine long balls, 38 RBI, 19 runs scored and 11 doubles over 47 contests. • Perez blasts ninth home run Monday
Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Perez’ ninth of the season. It came in the sixth inning off Tigers reliever Joey Wentz. Perez is now 16-for-41 (.390) against left-handed pitchers this season. He’s hitting an incredible .341 overall. The 34-year-old is a career .269 hitter and has never even hit .300 in a single-season where he’s played at least 100 games.

    • Danny Jansen homers, drives in five in Jays’ win
Danny Jansen went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and five RBI as the Blue Jays bested the White Sox 9-3 on Monday.

Advice: Jansen, who hadn’t batted higher than fifth this season until today, had his big game from the second spot in the lineup. He’s batting .333/.397/.681 with five homers and just nine strikeouts through 78 plate appearances. It seems like more than just a hot streak, so he’s probably a top-10 fantasy catcher for the short term. Still, staying healthy has been quite an issue for the 29-year-old. • Collects five RBI
Jansen went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Monday's victory over the White Sox.

Advice: This was the third time in Jansen's career that he has driven in five or more runs in a game, marking the first occurrence since Oct. 1, 2022. The highlight of 29-year-old catcher's day was launching a 377-foot homer off Jordan Leasure in the seventh inning. The Blue Jays backstop has swung a hot bat to open the season, slashing .333/.397/.681 over his first 78 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:25 pm

    • In two-hole Monday
Jansen is starting at catcher and batting second in Monday's game versus the White Sox.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider has been changing things up with his lineups in an effort to get his offense going, and he's trying something new again Monday in batting Jansen higher than fifth for the first time this season. The catcher is slashing .313/.384/.625 on the year, so it's a move that certainly makes sense on paper. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 am

    • Danny Jansen batting second for Blue Jays
Danny Jansen is starting at catcher and batting second for the Blue Jays against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: Jansen has been one of the Blue Jays’ best hitters, slashing .313/.384/.625 on the season with four home runs in 21 games. However, he also only has 12 runs scored and just seven RBI while being buried in the back third of the lineup. A bump up to second would be huge for his fantasy value if it sticks. Jansen has also started four of the last five games behind the plate as he continues to push for near full-time playing time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:19 am

Jansen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Jansen started the previous three games but will hit the bench after going 3-for-10 with a double and a run. Alejandro Kirk will step in behind the plate Sunday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:17 am

    • Danny Jansen gets Sunday break vs. Rays
Danny Jansen is not in the lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Rays.

Advice: Jansen went 3-for-7 with a double over the first two games of the series against Tampa Bay, but the team will get the 29-year-old rest whenever they can. Alejandro Kirk is hitting eighth and behind the plate. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:46 am

    • Perez drives in two on Saturday
Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with two RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Perez had a two-run single in the first inning that opened the scoring. The 34-year-old backstop has been great this year as he’s hitting .333 with a .949 OPS. His walk percentage is nearly double what it usually is at 7.8 percent and his strikeout percentage of 15 percent would be his lowest since 2015. Still, we can’t expect Perez to keep up this average as his .368 BABIP is 77 points higher than his career .291 BABIP.
