    • Continuing rehab assignment
Bachman (shoulder) started a game for the Angels' Arizona Complex League team June 3 and is slated to throw three innings for the club Saturday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Bachman removed himself from a rehab outing May 30 due to neck stiffness, but he said he felt better the next day and was able to toss two innings June 3. That outing went well, as the right-hander didn't allow any runs or hits and struck out four batters. Bachman will look to increase his workload by an inning in his next appearance as he continues to build up following offseason shoulder surgery. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Turns in quality start
Canning (2-6) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Astros.

Advice: Canning picked up his second quality start in a row, but he's lost both of those starts due to a lack of run support. The right-hander has allowed four runs over his last 13 innings, though he hasn't exactly been dominant with a 6:3 K:BB in that span. He's now at a 4.65 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 47:26 K:BB through 69.2 innings over 13 starts. Canning is projected for a road start versus the Diamondbacks his next time out. • Yields four runs in no-decision
Gomber did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-5 loss to St. Louis, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: The former Cardinal Gomber was unsteady out the gate in his first outing at Busch Stadium since Aug. 18, 2022. The Colorado southpaw allowed three runs on four hits in the first inning and never recovered. Despite the four-run evening, Gomber has been surprisingly solid this year and now sports a 3.38 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 47:21 K:BB over 66.2 innings. He is slated to face the Twins on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Griffin Canning takes loss after quality start
Griffin Canning surrendered three runs over 6 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Astros.

Advice: Canning’s velocity has been creeping back up after some April struggles, but his 16% strikeout rate is still way down from his career mark of 25%. If he’s traded to a team that has a better idea about how to get the most from its pitchers, he could be interesting down the stretch this year. If’s not likely to happen for him in Anaheim. • Knocked around in no-decision
Lynn did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-5 win over the Rockies, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Lynn entered this start on a roll, tossing a 0.56 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 16 innings in his last three starts, but couldn't control a shaky Colorado lineup. This marks the fifth time the 37-year-old veteran has allowed four earned runs in an outing this year. His ERA now stands at 3.58 with a 1.38 WHIP in 65.1 innings. Lynn is scheduled to make his next start at home against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Michael Lorenzen lifted in fifth against Giants
Michael Lorenzen surrendered two runs in 4 1/3 innings versus the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Lorenzen left down 2-0, but the Rangers let him off the hook in the bottom of fifth before going to lose 5-2. It’s the first time in 10 starts this year that Lorenzen has failed to complete five innings and just the second time he hasn’t gone six. He might be booted out of the rotation at some point in the second half if the Rangers ever get completely healthy, but he’s been quite good thus far. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago
    • Strong in no-decision
Harris allowed three hits and two walks while striking out three over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Harris did well in his second start of the season, which ended up being a pitching duel against Toronto's Chris Bassitt. Harris previous allowed three runs (one earned) and struck out seven over 5.2 innings versus the Rays last Thursday. He's at a 2.21 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through 20.1 innings over four appearances (two starts) this season. The southpaw looks to have done enough to maintain his spot in the rotation for a road start versus the Padres next week. Harris will likely continue to operate as a starter while the Athletics are missing both Ross Stripling (elbow) and Alex Wood (shoulder). Rotowire.com Today, 9:29 pm

    • Falls to 3-3
Criswell (3-3) yielded four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against the White Sox.

Advice: Criswell gave up one run through three frames before the White Sox plated three runs in the fourth inning. It was the third time in his last five outings that he's failed to complete at least five innings. During that stretch, he's posted a 6.45 ERA, driving his season number up to 4.13. Criswell is currently in line for a home matchup against the Yankees next week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:50 pm

    • Earns save Friday
Cannon allowed three hits over three scoreless innings Friday, striking out four and picking up a save against Boston.

Advice: Cannon entered the game with a 6-2 lead and threw 41 of 60 pitches for strikes on his way to earning his first MLB save. He was promoted from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday and made his first big-league appearance out of the bullpen after starting three games for the White Sox in April. Cannon was expected to be a back-end rotation piece after the promotion but he could be used in more of a long relief role for the time being. He owns a 5.94 ERA with a 17:4 K:BB through 16.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm
