    • Keeps cruising Monday
Wentz tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Advice: Wentz relieved starter Jack Flaherty and kept Detroit in the game, as the lefty continued his excellent start to the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.68 and now has 18 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Wentz flopped as a starter last year but has reinvented himself as an effective long reliever. It's not the most fantasy-friendly role, but he could help with ratios, strikeouts and the occasional win in deeper formats. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Provides all the offense Monday
Greene went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Greene got Detroit on the board early, belting a leadoff home run against Triston McKenzie in the top of the first inning. However, he and his teammates went quiet from there. Fantasy managers won't mind too much, as the young outfielder now has four home runs over his last seven games, which has pushed him up to nine long balls for the season. Greene hit a career-high 11 home runs last year, and it looks like he should fly past that number in 2024. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • Jack Flaherty strikes out six, allows two runs vs. CLE
Jack Flaherty yielded two earned runs and struck out six batters in six innings on Monday in a loss against the Guardians.

Advice: It would’ve been nonsense to think Flaherty could match his last outing of 14 punch outs, but the 28-year-old pitched well against the Guardians and now has six or more strikeouts in five straight starts. The right-hander allowed his first of two runs in the first inning off a single from Will Brennan. He didn’t allow another run until his last inning when José Ramírez took him deep in the sixth. Flaherty’s next start will be at home against the Astros. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Triston McKenzie allows one run in no-decision
Triston McKenzie allowed one earned run and stuck out six in five innings against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: McKenzie allowed a home run to Riley Greene on the first pitch of the game and after that, the 26-year-old shut down the Tigers’ offense. McKenzie has at least six strikeouts in four straight games and has gotten his season ERA under four for the first time this season (3.97 ERA). McKenzie will get his next start against the White Sox this weekend, giving him and fantasy managers a solid matchup to improve across all categories. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Riley Greene hits homer on first pitch versus CLE
Riley Greene went X-for-X with a home run on the first pitch of the game against the Guardians on Monday.

Advice: Greene didn’t wait long to get the Tigers on the board, unfortunately for Detroit, it was the only run of the game. The 23-year-old’s solo shot went 424 feet to deep right center field and he now has nine home runs on the season. The only other players with more home runs in baseball this season? Gunnar Henderson, Shohei Othani, Marcell Ozuna and Mike Trout. Pretty good company. Greene is slashing .268/.393/.946 with 17 RBI through 35 games this season. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • José Ramírez homers in second-straight game
José Ramírez went 1-for-4 with a home run in Monday’s 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramírez’s go-ahead home run came in the sixth inning as it hugged the right side of the diamond and hit the foul pole. It was a much-needed run for Cleveland who are now 23-12 through its first 35 games of the season — the team’s best start since 2011. The 31-year-old is slashing .232/.280/.435 with seven home runs and 28 RBI this season. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Gets positive news from specialist
Manager Bruce Bochy stated Monday that Eovaldi isn't dealing with a sports hernia and should be cleared to return after serving the 15-day minimum on the injured list, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The Rangers initially believed that Eovaldi wouldn't be forced to miss more than the required 15 days, and this report was confirmed after the right-hander visited a specialist Monday. The 34-year-old will tentatively be cleared to return sometime during his club's upcoming series against the Angels, which runs from May 17 through May 19. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

    • José Ureña could start Wednesday for Rangers
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that José Ureña could start one of the doubleheader games for the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Whether Ureña will be able to start one of those games will depend on if they need to use the right-hander out of the bullpen. The right-hander will be facing one of the weaker lineups on paper, but it would be a mistake to trust him as a streaming option based on his lack of success at the highest level in that role over the last couple of years. • Eovaldi (groin) gets ‘good news’ from specialist
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that Nathan Eovaldi (groin) received “good news” during his visit with a specialist.

Advice: In particular, Eovaldi does not have a sports hernia. The right-hander was placed on the injured list Friday with a right groin strain, and he visited with the specialist Monday in New York. Bochy believes Eovaldi could be off the injured list right-around when he’s eligible, and that would put him back in the rotation for Texas around May 18. Rotoworld Today, 5:06 pm
