    • Plates two, steals base
Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with two RBI while netting his first stolen base of the season in Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Mets.

Advice: Goldschmidt one-hopped a two-run double off the wall as part of a four-run first inning for the Cardinals. He added an infield single, a stolen base and another run scored. The former MVP also struck out three times Saturday and has fanned at an elevated 30.1 percent so far this season. The production on the whole has ticked up over the past week, however, with Goldschmidt going 9-for-27 (.333) with one home run and four RBI in that span. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:04 pm

    • Paul Goldschmidt drives in two in win over Mets
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, two RBI, and a stolen base to lead the Cardinals to a 7-4 win over the Mets.

Advice: Goldschmidt seems to be warming up at the plate. He collected two hits on Saturday for his third multi-hit game in his last five contests. Goldschmidt drove in two runs with a double in the first inning and scored on a base hit by Masyn Winn. He singled in the fifth and swiped second for his first stolen base of the season before scoring on a balk. The 36-year-old first baseman is slashing .214/.306/.296 with two homers and 11 RBI across 113 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:37 pm

    • Lifts second homer
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Goldschmidt's slow start has been the cause of much consternation for St. Louis, and it's led to him batting fifth in the last two games. He's gone 3-for-7 since the drop in the order, so it looks like the change is at least having a short-term effect. The first baseman is batting a meager .195 with a .566 OPS, two homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored over 94 plate appearances. Goldschmidt's track record will give him a lot of leeway to work out of his struggles, but it's possible that the 36-year-old may be starting to feel his age as well. • Paul Goldschmidt hits second homer in Cards’ win
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season on Monday in the Cardinals’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Goldschmidt snapped a 20-game homerless drought with a game-tying solo shot off Arizona reliever Scott McGough in the seventh inning. It was his first round-tripper since Opening Day back on March 28. The 36-year-old veteran first baseman is batting just .195 (16-for-82) with eight runs scored, two homers and nine RBI through 22 games. It’s not what you want. Rotoworld Monday, 7:37 pm

    • Batting fifth Sunday
Goldschmidt is starting at first base and batting fifth Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: The 36-year-old has a .173/.279/.213 slash line through 20 games this season and will drop below the cleanup spot for the first time since 2013, per Rob Rains of StLSportsPage.com. Goldschmidt's track record provides plenty of reason to believe it's only matter of before he turns things around, but the move down the order is notable given his usual stability in the lineup. • Three doubles in win
Santander went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 9-7 win over the Royals.

Advice: This was Santander's first three-hit game of the season and just his fourth multi-hit effort. The outfielder is starting to warm up, going 7-for-15 (.467) over his last four contests following a three-game slump. Overall, Santander is slashing .237/.289/.474 with four home runs, 17 RBI, 10 runs scored and six doubles over 19 contests. Rotowire.com Apr 21, 10:27 am

    • Anthony Santander picks up three hits, two RBI
Anthony Santander went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs in a victory for the Orioles on Saturday over the Royals.

Advice: Santander doubled twice in this contest, and both scored runs. The 29-year-old scuffled out of the game, but a four-game hitting streak has seen his average increase from .180 to .237 in that timeframe. Santander should be a solid — if a bit streaky — fantasy option again in 2024. Rotoworld Apr 20, 7:21 pm
