    • Back in minors
The Dodgers optioned Salazar to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Salazar was recalled from Triple-A and made his season debut Wednesday, allowing one unearned run while striking out three batters and walking two across two innings. He'll now return to the minors in favor of Nick Ramirez, who was recalled in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
    • Brought back up
The Dodgers recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Ramirez has allowed just one run across seven big-league innings this season, and he has thrown 5.2 shutout frames in Triple-A since being sent down in late April. The 34-year-old southpaw will likely serve in middle relief while with the Dodgers, and Eduardo Salazar will head back to Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Emmet Sheehan undergoes Tommy John surgery
Emmet Sheehan underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery earlier this week.

Advice: The writing was seemingly on the wall after Sheehan was shut down from throwing indefinitely a couple weeks ago due to right forearm inflammation. The 24-year-old right-hander showed some immense promise last year as a rookie before landing on the shelf back in spring training with an ominous arm injury. There should be some clarity on his return timetable at some point in the near future, but it’s obviously a significant development for his fantasy appeal in dynasty leagues. • Dodgers recall lefty Nick Ramirez on Thursday
Dodgers recalled LHP Nick Ramirez from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Ramirez provides Los Angeles with a fresh reliever heading into Thursday’s series opener against the Reds at Dodger Stadium. The 34-year-old southpaw has recorded a pristine 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 2/3 K/BB ratio across seven innings (five appearances) this season in his Dodgers debut. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Undergoes Tommy John surgery
Sheehan had season-ending right elbow UCL surgery Wednesday.

Advice: In April, Sheehan was trying to work his way back from a forearm injury that he suffered in mid-March. However, the 24-year-old was not able to respond the way the Dodgers had hoped. The righty was then shut down from throwing April 14 and will now officially be out for the remainder of the season. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Dodgers option Eduardo Salazar to Triple-A
Dodgers optioned RHP Eduardo Salazar to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Salazar heads back to the minors after allowing one run (zero earned) with three strikeouts over two innings on Wednesday in his Dodgers debut. The 26-year-old righty figures to oscillate between Los Angeles’ bullpen and Triple-A Oklahoma City as extra organizational relief depth for the next few months. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
    • Guardians activate Sam Hentges for Friday return
Guardians activated LHP Sam Hentges from the paternity list.

Advice: Hentges will be back in Cleveland’s bullpen for Friday’s series opener against the Twins. The 27-year-old lefty has made three scoreless appearances since returning from the injured list following a five-weeks absence due to left middle finger inflammation. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago
    • Ken Waldichuk undergoes Tommy John surgery
Ken Waldichuk underwent Tommy John surgery on Wednesday.

Advice: Waldichuk underwent a full Tommy John elbow reconstruction and will be sidelined at least until the later stages of the 2025 campaign. The 26-year-old lefty suffered the injury originally last September and was ultimately unable to avoid surgery. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm

    • Beginning rehab assignment
Burke (hand) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Thursday.

Advice: Burke landed on the injured list April 13 after breaking his right (non-throwing) hand, and he'll now begin working his way back in rookie ball. The 27-year-old southpaw isn't eligible to return from the IL until June 12, so he will have plenty of time to ease his way back before rejoining the Rangers' bullpen. Rotowire.com Today, 2:09 pm
