    • Not in Monday's lineup
Marte is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Rangers starter Jon Gray has held Marte in check during their matchups, with Marte producing just a .611 OPS in 20 plate appearances. He'll begin this one on the bench as DJ Stewart plays right field. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

    • Optioned to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Westbrook to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

Advice: Westbrook was a great story in finally reaching the majors following an 11-year professional career, but he wasn't going to be playing much with Romy Gonzalez back from the injured list. The 29-year-old went 4-for-18 with a homer during his first-ever stint in the big leagues. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

    • Red Sox send down Jamie Westbrook
Red Sox optioned INF/OF Jamie Westbrook to Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Westbrook should be at least a 26th man in the majors, but the Red Sox currently prefer Romy Gonzalez’s defensive versatility. Westbrook went 4-for-18 with a homer and a double during his two weeks with the Red Sox. His average exit velocity on his 13 balls in play was an impressive 92.8 mph. Rotoworld Today, 1:26 pm

    • Absent from lineup
McKinstry is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: He and Ryan Kreidler have split the starts at shortstop down the middle with four apiece since Javier Baez (back) went on the injured list. McKinstry has now been on the bench for all three contests versus lefties, as Atlanta is starting southpaw Max Fried on Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:09 pm

    • Takes seat Monday
Perez is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Atlanta.

Advice: After starting each of the previous seven games, Perez will take a seat Monday as Atlanta goes with southpaw Max Fried on the mound. Matt Vierling will be in right field for the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 1:06 pm

    • Sitting against lefty
Peralta is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Peralta will hit the bench for the series opener while the Phillies bring southpaw Cristopher Sanchez to the hill. Now that Manny Machado is back to playing third base again after he had previously made four consecutive starts at designated hitter following his return from a four-game absence due to a strained hip flexor, Peralta should have a regular spot in the lineup at DH when the Padres face right-handed pitchers. • Could get steady time in left field
Dahl will start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Dahl appeared at risk of moving into a fourth-outfielder role after Brandon Marsh returned from the injured list Saturday, but both should get the chance to play regularly against right-handed pitching after the Phillies cleared up their outfield logjam by optioning the struggling Johan Rojas to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. Marsh is expected to cover Rojas' old spot in center field in most games, leaving left field available for Dahl. Since he was called up from Lehigh Valley on June 3, Dahl is batting just .231 and hasn't drawn a walk in 26 plate appearances, but four of his six hits have gone for extra bases. • On bench versus righty
Laureano is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Laureano had started each of the first two games in right field for Atlanta after Michael Harris (hamstring) was hurt, but Adam Duvall will shift over to right and Forrest Wall will handle left field in this one. It's a fluid situation as Atlanta tries to piece together its outfield over the next few weeks. Rotowire.com Today, 12:11 pm

    • Unlikely to return this week
Giants manager Bob Melvin said Sunday that it's likely a "stretch" for Wade (hamstring) to return from the 10-day injured list before Thursday's matchup with the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala., MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wade was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain after suffering the injury while sliding into second base in a May 27 win over the Phillies. Though a Grade 2 strain often entails a recovery timeline of more than a month, Wade said last week that his goal was to make it back for MLB's June 20 Negro Leagues tribute game as the Giants' designated hitter. Wade took steps forward this past week by taking batting practice on the field and increasing the intensity of his running progression, but the 30-year-old looks like he'll still at least one week away from being a realistic option to return from the IL. Wilmer Flores should continue to serve as the Giants' primary first baseman while Wade remains out. Rotowire.com Today, 11:18 am
