    • Fernando Tatis Jr. has three hits, HR in victory
Fernando Tatis Jr. homered and went 3-for-4 in a 7-3 win for the Padres over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. got the party started for the Padres with a solo homer in the first inning off Alec Marsh. The 25-year-old also singled twice and drew a walk for a four-reach day. Tatis hasn’t been spectacular in the first 60-plus games of the season, but he’s up to 10 homers, 30 RBi and six stolen bases with a .772 OPS. It’d be surprising if those number didn’t shoot up over the next few months, if not weeks. Rotoworld Today, 4:52 pm
    • Three hits, homer vs. Royals
Tatis went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-3 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Tatis opened the scoring in the first inning with a 422-foot solo shot off Alec Marsh, his 10th homer of the season. The 25-year-old Tatis has at least one hit in his last seven games, going 11-for-29 (.379) in that span. He's now slashing .261/.340/.433 with 38 runs scored, 30 RBI and six stolen bases across 268 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Today, 4:36 pm
    • Adoils García goes hitless in fourth straight game
Adolis García went 0-for-4 as the Rangers’ cleanup man Friday against the Marlins.

Advice: This has turned into quite a slump for García; he’s batting .164 in 110 at-bats since Apr. 25. The Rangers still don’t have much reason to drop him out of the cleanup spot, since most of the hitters behind him are struggling, too. His first four weeks were so strong that he’s still hitting a reasonable .232/.289/.457 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm

    • Tommy Edman (wrist) takes BP left-handed Friday
Tommy Edman (wrist) was able to take batting practice from the left side of the plate for the first time on Friday.

Advice: Edman is already eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list, but he’s still not close to being ready. The fact that he’s now able to face live pitching from both sides of the plate though is an encouraging sign and perhaps a minor league rehab assignment could be in the cards soon. He’s going to need plenty of at-bats there before he’s ready to join the Cardinals though and there’s no guarantee that he’ll even be ready before the end of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:44 pm

    • Taking BP from left side
Edman (wrist) has been cleared to take batting practice from the left side of the plate, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's the first time the switch hitter has taken BP from the left side since he experienced complications in his recovery from right wrist surgery. While the step is an important one, Edman does not appear close to beginning a rehab assignment just yet. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:34 pm

    • Plays outfield
Garcia started in right field and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: This was Garcia's first start in the outfield since missing two games due to a forearm injury. He's gone 3-for-23 (.130) with a home run, a double and two RBI since his return. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:48 am

    • Launches ninth homer
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Tatis provided the only offense for San Diego on Saturday, launching a solo shot off Luke Weaver in the bottom of the eighth for his ninth home run of the season. The star outfielder has hit safely in seven of his last nine games, though he hasn't registered more than two hits in either of those contests and is still batting just .253 (22-for-87) in May. Tatis has scored and driven in a run in three of his last four games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:34 am
    • Tatis crushes ninth home run Saturday
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. homered on a fly ball to center in the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Luke Weaver. It was his ninth home run on the season and the only run the Padres scored on the night. Tatis has been productive with nine home runs and six stolen bases this year, but his average is lagging behind at .244. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:50 pm
    • Not playing field yet
Garcia served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Garcia made a second consecutive start at DH after missing two games with a right forearm injury. It's unclear when he will resume defensive duties, but as long as he's contributing at the plate, that shouldn't matter much. The home run was the team-leading 12th for Garcia, who also leads the Rangers with 36 RBI. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:45 am
