    • Joe Ryan gives up four homers in loss to Astros
Joe Ryan gave up five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Ryan gave up eight hits, which is not great, and five of those hits left the park, which is worse. The 27-year-old was coming off an outstanding start against the Royals on Monday. This was anything but. He also walked two and struck out four in one of the worst outings of the season for Ryan. Expect better things for the right-hander against Pittsburgh next week. • Tagged for 12 hits in loss
Harrison (4-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on 12 hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Harrison's final line ultimately could've looked a lot worse, as he surrendered a career-most 12 hits. The 22-year-old southpaw's hit a rough patch of late, giving up three or more runs over five innings in each of his last four starts. Harrison's ERA is up to 4.15 through 12 starts (65 innings) this year with a 1.40 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, currently lined up for early next week in Arizona. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:21 pm
    • Kyle Harrison allows two homers in loss to Phillies
Kyle Harrison surrendered four runs over five innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Harrison was knocked around for a staggering 12 hits, including homers by Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos, so it’s pretty remarkable that he managed to limit the damage to just four runs over five frames of work. He racked up five strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. The 22-year-old southpaw will bring a respectable 4.15 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 60/22 K/BB ratio across 65 innings (12 starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the division-rival Diamondbacks. • Brayan Bello strikes out seven in win over Orioles
Brayan Bello allowed three runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: The right-hander struck out seven and walked two on the evening. Bello had a rough first inning, allowing all three runs on three hits, but he bounced back exceptionally well and had his entire arsenal working, registering a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. Bello’s changeup was particularly effective on Tuesday, getting 10 whiffs on 21 swings, but he also had a 38 percent whiff rate on his slider which will be a big pitch for him if he wants to take the next step in his development. Overall, it was a strong showing for the 25-year-old, and he’ll now take a 4.18 ERA into a showdown with the Tigers this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:38 pm

    • Improves to 6-2
Bello (6-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Orioles, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Baltimore got to Bello early Tuesday by scoring three runs in the opening frame, before the right-hander settled in and blanked the Orioles over his subsequent four innings while allowing just one additional hit. It's the fifth win for Bello in his last six starts. His ERA sits at 4.18 through nine outings (47.1 innings) this year with a 1.18 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB. Bello's tentatively in line for a second start this week Sunday at home versus Detroit. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:35 pm

    • Falls to 2-3
Lynn (2-3) allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Reds.

Advice: All three runs against Lynn came in the first two innings but he was able to settle in to deliver a quality start. He's thrown six frames in each of his last two outings after failing to do so in his previous five starts. The veteran righty is 1-3 with a 4.39 ERA over his last five appearances. On the year, Lynn owns a 53:23 K:BB and a 3.45 ERA through 57.1 innings. His next start is expected to be in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:39 pm

    • Lance Lynn delivers quality start in defeat
Lance Lynn yielded three runs — one earned — in six innings Monday in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Lynn has lowered his ERA from 4.17 to 3.45 in his last two outings, partly because of some unearned runs. Unfortunately, simply keeping the Cardinals in games isn’t enough to generate wins right now, and Lynn is 2-3 in spite of a solid open. Rotoworld Monday, 6:00 pm

    • Dazzles in victory
Ryan (4-3) earned the win Monday against the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Ryan dominated the Royals, generating an impressive 15 whiffs en route to his nine punchouts. With Monday's effort, the 27-year-old righty collected his eighth quality start of the season. Overall, Ryan sports a 2.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 73:9 K:BB in 67 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to pitch against the Astros on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:24 pm

    • Joe Ryan strikes out nine in win over Royals
Joe Ryan recorded nine strikeouts and allowed one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Royals.

Advice: Ryan authored yet another stellar performance on Monday afternoon at Target Field, carrying a shutout into the sixth inning before Kansas City finally broke through courtesy of a two-out RBI single from Vinnie Pasquantino. It was his highest single-start strikeout total since a 12-punchout performance back on April 13 against the Tigers as he induced 15 swinging strikes, including 11 on his fastball, and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW. He’s rapidly cementing his status as an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, having allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts at the outset of the season. He’ll bring a strong 2.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 73/9 K/BB ratio across 67 innings (11 starts) into a challenging road tilt on Saturday against the Astros. Rotoworld Monday, 1:38 pm
