      Reds sent TJ Friedl (wrist) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Louisville.

      Advice: Two weeks ago, Reds manager David Bell said that Friedl could get a rehab assignment soon and the team are sticking to that timetable. Friedl fractured his right wrist during spring training, but there hasn’t been any setbacks in his recovery, so seeing him get some live reps is a positive sign.     • Cleared for rehab assignment
      Friedl (wrist) was sent to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday to begin a rehab assignment, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

      Advice: Friedl suffered a small fracture of the distal radius of his right wrist back in mid-March, but he's finally made enough progress in order to be cleared to play in games. Given how much time he's missed, Friedl will likely require a good number of rehab at-bats in the minors before returning from the 10-day injured list.     • Walker Buehler (elbow) to make debut Monday
      Walker Buehler (elbow) is scheduled to make his season debut on Monday, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

      Advice: It’s been about 20 months since Buehler has pitched in a major league game, but that will come to an end in just a few days. The 29-year-old hurler has been putting together multiple rehab stints to get ramped up for his return to the Dodgers. In his last outing, he allowed just one run across five innings and threw 75 pitches. This will be a big season for Buehler as he and the team have entertained the possibility of a contract extension in the past, but now it will be an important factor for the team as he enters free agency after 2024.       Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Buehler (elbow) will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Monday's game against the Marlins in Los Angeles, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Monday will mark Buehler's first start on a big-league mound since he underwent Tommy John surgery in August 2022. He made six starts during his minor-league rehab assignment, posting a 4.15 ERA and 1.62 WHIP while striking out 21 batters and walking nine across 21.2 innings. Since he's nearly two years removed from his last big-league start, the 29-year-old right-hander could show a bit of rust in his first few outings as he gets used to facing MLB hitters again.       Jarren Duran smacked an RBI triple, scored a run and drew a pair of walks as the Red Sox triumphed over the Giants on Wednesday evening at Fenway Park.

      Advice: Duran worked a walk off of Daulton Jefferies in the third inning and came around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI ground out off the bat of Rob Refsnyder. He then plated a run of his own with a two-out RBI triple that chased Jefferies in the fourth inning.
