    • Bounces back with quality start
Crawford (2-1) earned the win over San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters over seven innings.

Advice: Crawford took his first loss of the campaign his previous time out when he allowed season highs of four runs (three earned) and 10 hits against the Cubs. The right-hander got back on track with a strong outing Wednesday, notching his third quality start and second victory of the season. Crawford has been outstanding for the Red Sox early in the campaign, ranking fifth among qualified starters with a 1.56 ERA through 40.1 innings. He's added a 40:13 K:BB and 1.07 WHIP to emerge as one of the league's most pleasant surprises thus far. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

    • Drives in two against LAA
Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-RBI single and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Schwarber knocked in both the Phillies runs, plating J.T. Realmuto and Whit Merrifield in the second inning. He even swiped second base after the two-RBI single, marking his second pilfer of the campaign. Schwarber finishes the three-game series against the Halos 4-for-13 (.307) with a three-run home run, five total RBI and three total runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm

    • Kutter Crawford fans six in victory over Giants
Kutter Crawford delivered a strong performance in Wednesday night’s victory over the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits over his seven frames.

Advice: Crawford punched out six batters on the evening while surrendering a pair of free passes. He served up a solo homer to Tom Murphy leading off the third inning, then allowed an RBI bunt single to Mike Yastrzemski in the fourth inning. That was the extent of the damage against him. Crawford got 12 swings and misses on 92 pitches in the contest, six on his cutter, while registering a CSW of 29 percent. Now 2-1 on the season, he’ll carry a brilliant 1.56 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 40/13 K/BB ratio (40 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Braves in Atlanta on Tuesday. • Kyle Schwarber’s two-run single enough vs. Halos
Kyle Schwarber smacked a two-run single on Wednesday, lifting the Phillies to a 2-1 victory over the Angels.

Advice: Schwarber’s second-inning two-run single off Angels southpaw Patrick Sandoval represented Philadelphia’s only offensive production of a low-scoring contest out in Los Angeles. It wound up being enough as Zack Wheeler and a quartet of relievers managed to limit the Angels to just one run on 10 hits. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm

    • Demoted to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Uribe to Triple-A Nashville after Thursday's win against the Rays, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Advice: It's been an eventful two days for Uribe, who is now headed to the minors after being handed a six-game suspension for his role in Tuesday's bench-clearing brawl versus the Rays. The right-hander appealed the ban and allowed a run on a hit and two walks over one inning Wednesday, and he now has a 6.91 ERA and 14:12 K:BB across 14.1 frames this season. The 22-year-old will likely be tasked with honing his command down at Triple-A, and the demotion will give Milwaukee some bullpen security with Freddy Peralta also facing a suspension, as Uribe won't begin serving his ban until he's back on the major-league roster. • Brewers option Abner Uribe to Triple-A
Brewers optioned RHP Abner Uribe to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Uribe opened the season as the Brewers’ closer, but wound up posting a troublesome 6.91 ERA and 1.88 WHIP over 14 1/3 innings. He was also a major player in Tuesday’s scuffle with Jose Siri and the Rays, resulting in a six-game suspension that he’s appealing. He’ll try to get back on track at Triple-A. • Shohei Ohtani gets breather on Wednesday
Shohei Ohtani is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s a rare and well-deserved day off for the superstar slugger. Will Smith will function as the Dodgers designated hitter on Wednesday while Austin Barnes does the catching against Jordan Montgomery and the D’Backs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:53 pm

    • Receiving first day off
Ohtani is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: It hasn't been reported that Ohtani is dealing with any type of injury, so he's presumably just receiving his first rest day of the season. Ohtani still has a 1.017 OPS on the campaign but has gone 5-for-26 over the past six games, and Thursday's team off day will provide a chance for two straight days to reset. Will Smith will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Austin Barnes starts behind the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:53 pm

    • Gets rare day off
Bogaerts is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Bogaerts will hit the bench for just the second time all season in what appears to be a routine maintenance day after he had started each of the past 16 games. Tyler Wade will step in for Bogaerts at second base and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:56 am
