    • Edwin Díaz hurls two scoreless innings vs. Cubs
Edwin Díaz hurled two scoreless innings against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: It comes in a non-save situation, but fantasy managers who roster Díaz get to see their ERA drop with the scoreless frames. He also picked up a pair of strikeouts, and that improves his K/BB to 19/4 over 12 2/3 innings. There really hasn’t been much — if any — rust to shake off for Díaz after missing all of 2023. • Josh Bell swats fourth homer of season Thursday
Josh Bell hit a solo homer Thursday in a victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Bell tied the game at 3-3 with a solo homer off Peter Lambert. The 31-year-old has gone deep four times in the first 33 games of action for the Marlins while registering a .579 OPS. Those numbers will go up, but maybe not enough to suggest him as a fantasy option in the majority of redraft leagues. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm

    • On base three times Wednesday
Riley went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: That's now five hits in the last four games for Riley, while Wednesday's three-bagger was his first extra-base hit since April 17. The third baseman is slashing a disappointing .235/.311/.387 through 29 contests with two homers and 16 RBI, but he still sports an 89th percentile barrel rate and 85th percentile hard-hit rate on the season, and there's little cause for worry about his slow first month. • Austin Riley powers Braves to win over Mariners
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple on Wednesday, leading the Braves to a 5-2 victory over the Mariners.

Advice: Riley scalded a 102.7 mph opposite-field triple off the right-field wall in the fourth inning to give Atlanta a commanding four-run lead at the time. The 27-year-old fantasy stalwart hasn’t exactly set the world ablaze in the opening month of the year, batting .235 with just two homers in 29 contests to date, but he’s still got plenty of time to get it going. We’re not concerned in the slightest after three consecutive 30-homer campaigns since 2021. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:26 pm

    • Handed day off Wednesday
Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Rojas had started in each of the previous three games while going 2-for-11 with a home run and a double, but he'll take a seat for the series finale as Cristian Pache picks up a rare start in center field. Through 91 plate appearances on the season, Rojas has mustered a modest .637 OPS, but his speed (seven steals in eight attempts) and plus defense should give him some stability atop the depth chart in center field. • Gets Wednesday off
Kelenic is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Kelenic typically sits when Atlanta faces off against left-handed starting pitchers, but the young outfielder will cede his spot in the lineup to Adam Duvall while right-hander Emerson Hancock takes the hill for Seattle. Atlanta may just have wanted to open up playing time for Duvall, who hadn't started since last Friday while the club had faced off against right-handers in each of the previous four games. • Nursing minor injury
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers due to his body and arm "barking a little bit," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Cash seemed to suggest that Paredes isn't dealing with anything more than general soreness, with the skipper adding that Wednesday was an optimal time to give the third baseman a breather since he'll benefit from a two-day break with the Rays being off Thursday. Paredes, who had started each of the previous 11 games, should be back in the lineup when the Rays open their series with the Mets on Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:08 am

    • Isaac Paredes not in lineup for Rays on Wed.
Isaac Paredes is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Brewers.

Advice: The 25-year-old has been one of the few bright spots through the first month of the season for Tampa Bay, but he’ll get some rest on Wednesday. Paredes leads the team in with seven home runs and 17 RBI in his 29 games played this season. No other player on the roster has more than three round trippers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:38 am

    • Receives Wednesday off
Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Paredes will exit the lineup for the first time since April 18, ending a stretch of 11 consecutive starts during which he posted an .848 OPS. Curtis Mead will spell Paredes at third base and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 am
