• To be investigated by MLB
Major League Baseball intends to open an investigation into a reported gambling situation involving Fletcher and bookmaker Mathew Bowyer, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Per Tisha Thompson of ESPN, Fletcher placed bets on multiple sports but did not bet on baseball. MLB allows players to bet on other sports, but doing so through illegal bookmakers such as Bowyer -- the same bookmaker used by Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara -- is prohibited and punishable at the discretion of the commissioner. Fletcher is currently not facing discipline but is expected to be investigated by Major League Baseball soon. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

  • Joey Ortiz picks up three hits, three-run homer
Joey Ortiz hit a three-run homer while going 3-for-4 in a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Advice: Ortiz also doubled, with the only damper on the evening being a caught stealing. The former Baltimore top prospect has been a big part of Milwaukee’s success, as this is the fifth homer for the 25-year-old and he’s slashing .296/.397/.561 for good measure. It was understandable for those who were skeptical of Ortiz as a fantasy option coming into the year, but this is no longer all that small of sample. It’s time to take him seriously. • Davis Schneider homers in loss
Davis Schneider hit a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Friday.

Advice: As has been the story for most of this season, Schneider was the lone bright spot for the Jays’ offense on Friday. The home run was his fifth of the season and his 13 BB% and 145 wRC+ suggest he could move up in order permanently if the Blue Jays ever want to relieve George Springer of his lead-off duties. • Richie Palacios hits two-run homer in win
Richie Palacios went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Rays win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Palacios has become a highly productive lineup fixture for the Rays, only sitting against three right-handed pitchers this season. The home run was his fourth along with six stolen bases. Friday also marked his ninth start at second base. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

  • Pops fourth homer
Fry went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Fry put Cleveland ahead with his 364-foot, two-run home run in the sixth inning off reliever Steven Okert. The 28-year-old utility man has been especially hot since the calendar turned to May, hitting .366 (11-for-30) this month. Over 95 plate appearances this season, Fry is slashing .333/.453/.560 with four homers, 15 runs scored and 14 RBI. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Tommy Pham has three hits in loss to Yankees
Tommy Pham went 3-for-5 on Friday with a double and a run scored.

Advice: Pham has been scalding hot since being activated by the White Sox with a .338 average and .866 OPS. All he’s ever done is hit and will have every opportunity to do so as he leads off and plays every day for this dismal White Sox team. Rotoworld Today, 7:04 pm

  • Nick Fortes goes 3-for-3, homers in win
Nick Fortes went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and three runs scored against the Mets on Friday.

Advice: The home run was just Fortes’ second in what’s been a disastrous start to the season. He’s had some intriguing batted ball metrics in the past, but this was just his second barrel of the season. He’s hard to trust even in two-catcher formats. Rotoworld Today, 6:46 pm

  • Dylan Moore clubs solo homer in loss to Orioles
Dylan Moore clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Friday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Mariners past the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Moore led off the game by smacking the first pitch thrown by John Means for a double into left field. He then came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Mitch Garver. The versatile 31-year-old then tattooed a 405-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot in the fifth inning that pulled the M’s to within three runs at 5-2. Moore finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .221/.314/.433 to go with four homers, 14 RBI and six stolen bases through his first 35 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:38 pm

  • Brandon Marsh delivers RBI double in win over Nats
Brandon Marsh walked and delivered an RBI double on Friday night, helping to lead the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Nationals.

Advice: Marsh drew a walk off of Jake Irvin to lead off the second inning and ultimately came around to score on a wild pitch. He then smacked a run-scoring double off of Irvin in the third inning that extended the Phillies’ advantage to 4-1. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .248/.309/.429 with six homers, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 40 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:00 pm
