    • Continues strong play
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Bellinger has started to get going after a relatively slow start to the season. He was batting .226 through the end of April, but turned that around by hitting .290 in May and .279 in June. Bellinger is now off to a solid start in July, and after a nice bounceback effort in his first season with the Cubs last year following a disappointing 2022 campaign, the 28-year-old appears primed for a strong finish to 2024. • Hits three-run homer in win
Rafaela went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela hit a three-run home run off Valente Bellozo in the fourth inning to break the game open for the Red Sox. He hit .315 in June and stayed productive to open July with his first home run since June 17. On the season, the 23-year-old is hitting .244 with nine home runs, 44 RBI, 40 runs scored and 10 steals over 304 plate appearances while primarily splitting time between center field and shortstop. • Strikes out eight in win
Gibson (6-3) earned the win against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Advice: Gibson was cruising early, striking out the side in each of the second and fourth innings, but he allowed four runs on two homers in the fifth. He bounced back with his control after walking five batters June 26 but was pulled after a season-low 79 pitches and has surrendered four earned runs in back-to-back outings. On the season, the veteran owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB over 92.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup against the Nationals this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 pm
    • Spencer Horwitz homers in win
Spencer Horwitz went 1-for-4 with a home run in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: The rookie hit two balls over 100 mph tonight with a 102.6 mph lineout and then a 101.6 mph home run that went 377 feet for his third home run of the season. It took a bit of time for the Blue Jays to play Horwitz regularly, but he has been starting against all right-handed pitchers of late and is hitting .306/.442/.500 in 22 MLB games. He hits second every time he plays and should continue to post strong batting averages and on-base percentages. Rotoworld Today, 8:02 pm

    • Bellinger has two-hit night vs. Phillies
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Bellinger doubled in the second inning to score Nico Hoerner and give the Cubs their first run of the game. It would be the only run the Cubs would score through the first eight innings before Seiya Suzuki hit a three-run homer in a ninth-inning rally. Bellinger continues to stay hot since having his nine-game hit streak ended last week, as he’s now hit safely in three-straight games and is slashing a solid .270/.329/.421 on the season. • Spencer Arrighetti hit hard in loss to Jays
Spencer Arrighetti allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits in four innings in a loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: He struck out five and walked four on the day while also allowing two home runs. He induced just six whiffs on the day for a 15 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW. The rookie now has a 6.13 ERA on the season and with Luis Garcia continuing to progress on his rehab assignment, there may be only a few more starts left for Arrighetti at the big league level in 2024. • Judge has three hits, HR in loss
Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: This Judge guy is pretty good. The big man is now up to an absurd 32 home runs and 83 RBI on the season while slashing .321/.440/.718. There’s a good chance he could win the Triple Crown this season, and he continues to be unbeatable by anything other than cement walls in the outfield. Rotoworld Today, 7:28 pm

    • Reynaldo López goes just 4 2/3 innings vs. Giants
Reynaldo López allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: López was pulled after 101 pitches, as the veteran righty allowed base runners on the night, with four coming via the walk. López gave up a solo homer to Jorge Soler in the fifth inning and later saw LaMonte Wade Jr. take him deep to tie the game at 2-2 before being pulled after retiring the next batter. López has allowed two earned runs or less in his last six outings but has walked four batters in back-to-back games. He carries a 1.83 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm
    • Gibson gets a win in an uneven performance
Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The veteran had pitched four shutout innings before allowing four runs and two home runs in the fifth inning, which would wind up being his last. Gibson also struck out eight and walked just one on the day. Gibson’s newfound strikeout ability is due to his reliance on his sweeper, which has become his most-used pitch. That offering got eight whiffs on 14 swings today and Gibson posted a 34 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW overall. The improved swing and miss in his game is for real, but he’s still vulnerable to giving up hard contact; however, he makes a decent streaming option against the Nationals this weekend.
