    • Early exit in no-decision
Pepiot came away with a no-decision in Friday's 10-3 win over the Pirates, giving up two runs on three hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Despite the impressive offensive support, Pepiot wasn't efficient enough to qualify for his fifth win of the year and got the hook after 74 pitches (41 strikes). The right-hander tied his season high with the four free passes, while the three strikeouts tied his season low. Through four starts in June, he's stumbled to a 6.30 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB through 20 innings, and Friday's outing was his first this month in which he didn't serve up a homer. Pepiot will look to turn things around in his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:03 am

    • Ryan Pepiot unravels in fourth inning
Ryan Pepiot allowed two earned runs in 3 1/3 on Friday against the Pirates. He walked four and struck out three.

Advice: Pepiot started strong with three punch outs in his first three innings and held a big lead. He looked to be in complete control until a lead-off walk to Rowdy Tellez in the bottom of the fourth and wouldn’t make it through the inning. His line could’ve been worse as he left the game with the bases loaded and one out, but Colin Poche got out of the jam with a double-play ball. It seemed he didn’t have a feel for his slider in this one as he threw just three. That pitch has been a difference-maker for him this season and it would be a concern if he took it out of his repertoire going forward. Rotoworld Friday, 6:29 pm

    • Lands on injured list
Soriano was placed on the 15-day injured list with an abdomen infection Thursday.

Advice: Soriano was scratched from his start Monday and was expected to miss another turn through the rotation. It was originally anticipated that he would avoid the injured list, so it's unclear how long he may be sidelined. The move was retroactive to Monday, so Soriano will be eligible to return in early July. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:54 pm

    • Angels put José Soriano (infection) on 15-day IL
Angels placed RHP José Soriano on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 17, with an abdominal infection.

Advice: So much for Angels manager Ron Washington’s proclamation that Soriano wouldn’t need a trip to the injured list. The 25-year-old righty was scratched from a scheduled start earlier this week due to abdominal pain and will require a couple weeks off to deal with an abdominal infection. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days. It’s an unfortunate development for fantasy managers as he was set to face the Athletics early next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:50 pm

    • Just misses quality start
Manaea pitched 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Texas on Wednesday, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six batters.

Advice: Manaea gave up just one run through five frames but ran into trouble in the sixth. In that frame, a two-out Josh Smith double narrowed New York's lead to one and resulted in Manaea getting the hook. Reliever Sean Reid-Foley followed by allowing his inherited runner to score, taking Manaea out of contention for a victory. It was still a pretty strong outing overall for the left-handed starter, though he's now failed to complete six innings in each of his past five starts. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:34 pm

    • Sean Manaea solid, but unravels in sixth inning
Sean Manaea allowed three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Rangers. He struck out six and walked three in a loss.

Advice: Manaea had a no-hitter going in this one through five innings and retired 14 straight after a shaky first inning. Yet, his inability to get through a lineup for the third time did him and the Mets in. Hopefully you don’t play in a quality start league if you roster Manaea because this is now 11 of 14 starts where he failed to complete six innings. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:49 pm

    • Washington: José Soriano unlikely to need IL stint
José Soriano is dealing with an infection.

Advice: Angels manager Ron Washington elaborated Tuesday that there’s no concern that Soriano will require a trip to the injured list, but likely won’t take the ball until next week. The 25-year-old was scratched from Monday’s start against the Brewers due to abdominal pain. He’s presumably day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:40 pm

    • Dealing with infection
Soriano (abdomen) is dealing with an infection according to manager Ron Washington, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Soriano had his turn in the rotation skipped Monday due to abdominal pain and he's expected to be skipped again as he nurses an infection. Manager Ron Washington said Tuesday there's not a concern that Soriano will need to be placed on the injured list, so he'll likely be back before the end of June. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:28 pm

    • José Soriano gets scratched due to abdominal pain
José Soriano was scratched from his scheduled start Monday due to abdominal pain.

Advice: Zach Plesac will go right into the rotation and start after being called up this afternoon. Hopefully, this is an illness and not something else abdomen-related for Soriano. Then again, the only way he’s going to finish this season as a starter is if he does miss a chunk of time on the injured list. Rotoworld Monday, 4:28 pm
