    Advice: Polanco hasn't taken the field since May 13, but he's close to returning after being available off the bench Monday. While it hasn't been confirmed he'll be available Tuesday, that should be the expectation considering his status Monday. Dylan Moore will draw a start at second base and bat ninth.     Jorge Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Yankees.

    Advice: Polanco was available off the bench for Monday’s series opener in New York, so it stands to reason that he’s healthy enough to avoid a potential trip to the injured list.     Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds.

    Diaz (calf) appeared in back-to-back rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday before receiving Sunday off.

    Advice: Diaz played seven innings at third base in Friday's game against El Paso before walking in his only plate appearance as the designated hitter Saturday. There's been no report of an aggravation of the injury to explain why Diaz was in the game for such a brief time Saturday, and he was then out of the lineup Sunday before the team's off day Monday. The Aviators also saw their scheduled game against Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday postponed due to rain, so Diaz will have had some extra rest if he does return to the lineup for the Aviators on Wednesday.   • Two steals in win
    Rengifo went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

    Advice: Rengifo has gone 4-for-18 with three steals, one RBI and two extra-base hits over four contests since he returned from an illness. The infielder is slashing .312/.364/.450 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and 12 thefts through 32 games this season.   • Luis Rengifo swipes two bags against Astros
    Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

    Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing.   • Tallies three hits Monday
    Keith went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Royals.

    Advice: While Keith is batting just .214 overall, he's been better in May with a .350 batting average across 14 games. It's a promising development for the rookie, who batted .306 across two levels in the minors last season. It can take young players some time to translate minor-league production into MLB success, but it seems like Keith is starting to turn the corner, and he has the talent to finish his debut campaign on a high note.   • Xander Bogaerts out with shoulder inflammation
    The Padres are calling Xander Bogaerts’ injury left shoulder inflammation.

    Advice: It’s an odd diagnosis, being that this was a sudden injury sustained while diving for a ball, but it’s what we’re left with after the Padres couldn’t initially find anything serious going on within the shoulder.
