    • Adames blasts 10th home run Monday
Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Adames’ home run was his 10th of the season and the stolen base was his ninth. He’s hitting .248 with a .761 OPS this year, but he continues to drive in runs in the middle of the Milwaukee order. Adames now has 45 RBI to go with the homers and steals. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with that production so far. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm

    • Louie Varland to make spot start for Twins
The Twins will recall Louie Varland to make a spot start Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Everyone is getting an extra day for the Twins. Varland should be sent down Tuesday’s game no matter how well he performs, but it’s a big game for him as far as whether he’ll be trusted next time the Twins need a starting pitcher for an extended period. Diego Castillo is expected to be sent down to make room for Varland on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 7:35 pm

    • Berrios allows three runs in loss Monday
Jose Berrios allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: Berrios gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. Two of the five hits he allowed were home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. Berrios has a 2.93 ERA on the season, but his xFIP is 4.09. His 88 percent left on base percentage is a giant red flag. It’s unlikely Berrios will continue to be able to get by with an 18 percent strikeout percentage while allowing 1.36 HR/9. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home this weekend.

    • Crushes another homer
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Monday's win over Colorado.

Advice: Lewis blasted a Nick Mears curveball 435 feet in the eighth inning, stretching Minnesota's lead to 5-0. The Twins third baseman has impressively hit four homers in seven games this season, requiring just 24 plate appearances. Overall, Lewis is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with five runs scored, six RBI and 2:5 BB:K. Rotowire.com Today, 7:32 pm

    • Rea picks up fifth win against Blue Jays Monday
Colin Rea allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Brewers’ 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Rea gave up three hits, walked none and struck out four. The win was his fifth of the season. Rea lowered his ERA to 3.31, but his xFIP is much higher at 4.54. He doesn’t miss bats as his strikeout percentage of 16 percent this season suggests. Rea has benefited greatly from an 81 percent left on base percentage. When that regresses, so too will his ERA. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the Reds at home this weekend.

    • Returned to minors
Castillo will be optioned to Triple-A St. Paul prior to Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Castillo issued one walk and struck out one in a scoreless frame Monday night, but he'll be rewarded with a demotion. The Twins are recalling Louie Varland from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 7:25 pm

    • Confirmed for Tuesday's start
Varland will be recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to start Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The Twins will promote Varland to the big leagues for a spot start as the club aims to give the rotation an extra day of rest, per Gleeman. Diego Castillo is set to be optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Varland has struggled in four starts for Minnesota this season, posting a 9.18 ERA and 2.16 WHIP with an 18:9 K:BB across 16.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:22 pm

    • Cruises to fifth win
Paddack (5-3) earned the win Monday against the Rockies, yielding six hits and no walks over 6.1 shutout innings. He struck out six.

Advice: After struggling with a 6.51 ERA over his last five starts, Paddack cashed in on the opportunity to pitch against Colorado, firing his first shutout appearance since May 3. The Twins right-hander generated 13 whiffs to collect his six punchouts, reaching that mark for the sixth time this season. Overall, Paddack now sports a 4.79 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 67:14 K:BB over 71.1 innings. The 28-year-old is slated to face Oakland at home this weekend in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 pm

    • Correa has another two-hit game Monday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Correa is up to .270 with 27 RBI on the season. Not bad considering he already dealt with an oblique injury this season. Correa isn’t going to regain his All-Star form from his days with the Astros. He’s also not going to hit more than 20 home runs or steal any bases, but he’s quietly having a nice season by any reasonable measure. Rotoworld Today, 7:18 pm
