    • Pulled after four innings
Bibee did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Tigers, allowing four runs on five hits in four innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Bibee looked sharp early Wednesday, allowing just one hit through his first three innings. However, things went south in the fourth, when Bibee allowed four runs on four hits. While Cleveland would ultimately rally for a win in 10 innings, it was another disappointing start from Bibee -- he's now allowed 10 runs over nine innings in his last two outings. Overall, the 25-year-old right-hander is 2-1 with a 4.91 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB in eight starts (40.1 innings) this season. Bibee's currently slated for a tough road matchup against the Rangers early next week. Rotowire.com Today, 2:48 pm

    • Tanner Bibee pulled after four against Tigers
Tanner Bibee gave up four runs in four innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Tigers.

Advice: Bibee cruised through three innings, allowing just one single, but everything went wrong in the fourth, which started with a single to conclude a 10-pitch at-bat. The Tigers wound up getting three more hits, as well as a key HBP, to produce a four-run inning in which Bibee threw more pitches (43) than in the first three combined (39). It was such a long inning that the Guardians didn’t bring Bibee back out for the fifth. Unfortunately, Bibee will miss the four-game series against the White Sox this weekend and make his next start in Texas against the Rangers. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

    • Goes on IL with rotator cuff strain
The Rangers placed Dunning (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list with a right rotator cuff strain.

Advice: The roster move is retroactive to Sunday, one day after Dunning made his seventh start of the season while taking a no-decision against the Royals. The Rangers haven't indicated that Dunning sustained the injury at any point during that outing, but the right-hander's shoulder was evidently bothersome coming out of that start. Dunning is without a precise target date to return from the IL, though manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that the 29-year-old isn't expected to have an especially lengthy stay on the shelf. While Dunning joins Nathan Eovaldi (groin), Max Scherzer (back), Cory Bradford (ribs), Jacob deGrom (elbow) and Tyler Mahle (elbow) on the shelf, the Rangers should have back-end rotation spots available for both Jose Urena and Jack Leiter. • Rangers place Dane Dunning (shoulder) on IL
According to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, Dane Dunning is headed to the injured list with a shoulder issue.

Advice: Wow. Dunning was scheduled to pitch against the Rockies on Friday, but now he’ll be sidelined for at least the next two weeks. The 29-year-old has posted a 4.10 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 43/17 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings this season. Rotoworld Today, 11:00 am

    • Bound for IL with shoulder injury
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Dunning will be placed on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder issue, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's not clear at this point how or when Dunning was hurt, nor have the Rangers offered up a timetable for his return. With Nathan Eovaldi (groin) also hitting the IL recently, the Rangers could need Jose Urena and Jack Leiter to remain in the rotation for multiple turns. Dunning has collected a 4.10 ERA and 43:17 K:BB over 37.1 frames covering seven starts this season. Rotowire.com Today, 10:59 am

    • On track to return Friday
Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Wednesday that Marsh (elbow) remains on track to return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marsh was terrific in his lone rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, striking out six over four shutout innings. The right-hander threw only 53 pitches in the outing, so he could be limited a bit from a workload perspective against the Angels. Marsh has missed the last couple weeks with a bruised right elbow. • Excellent against Cincinnati
Gallen (4-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Reds, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Gallen had gone 11 days between starts after suffering a hamstring injury on April 26 against Seattle. He certainly looked healthy Tuesday, holding Cincinnati to one hit en route to his third scoreless outing this season. It's an encouraging effort from Gallen, who'd dropped his previous two starts, allowing eight runs over 10 innings in that span. He lowered his ERA to 2.84 with a 1.13 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across seven starts (38 innings) this year. Gallen's currently in line for a road start Sunday against the Orioles in his next outing. • Gallen throws six shutout in win
Zac Gallen threw six shutout innings in a 6-2 win over the Reds, allowing just one hit while striking out six.

Advice: Gallen also walked three batters on the day and started just 11 of the 22 batters he faced with a strike. In fact, Gallen threw pitches in the strike zone just 46 percent of the time on the day; however, when he was able to get a pitch in the zone, the Reds had a really tough time making contact which led Gallen to post a 26 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. It wasn’t his sharpest outing, but he benefited from a Reds team that is having a tough time hitting anybody right now. The effort lowered Gallen’s ERA to 2.84, and he gets a much tougher test against the Orioles this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:32 pm
    • Excels in four-inning rehab start
Marsh (elbow) struck out six and gave up one hit and one walk over four shutout innings Sunday in his rehab start with Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: According to Anne Rogers of MLB.com, Royals manager Matt Quatraro said prior to Sunday's rehab outing that Marsh was being targeted for 60-to-65 pitches, but the right-hander fell slightly short of that benchmark with 53 pitches (38 strikes). In any case, Marsh mowed down the Triple-A Iowa lineup in efficient fashion and looks as though he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible Friday against the Angels. If the Royals instead decide to give Marsh one more rehab start to increase his pitch count, Daniel Lynch would likely be in store for a second turn through the rotation this weekend.
