      Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a walk and a grand slam during Sunday's 11-8 loss to the Nationals.

      Advice: Guerrero's grand slam in the second inning off Mackenzie Gore was his fourth of the season and first in 22 games. It was also the first time he homered this season with men on base as he had collected just 11 RBI and hit just .231 coming into the contest. Despite the power outage, Guerrero is currently in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak, batting 11-for-32 (.344) with three doubles, a homer, five RBI and three runs scored during that stretch.     • Limits damage against Mariners
      Brown didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Despite tying his season high in walks, Brown only allowed a pair of runners to score and held the Mariners to just one extra-base hit. Brown has lasted less than five innings in five of his seven starts this season and owns an ugly 8.89 ERA through 27.1 innings. With Cristian Javier (neck) set to return in the next week or so, Brown's time in the rotation could be coming to a close. However, Houston could drop rookie Spencer Arrighetti instead.       Devers went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

      Advice: After opening the game 0-for-3, Devers singled and later came around to score in the top of the eighth inning before launching a two-run home run off Jay Jackson in the following frame. The long ball was his fourth of the season and his first in 10 games. Since returning from a bone bruise in his left knee April 24, Devers has batted .415 with two homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored over 41 at-bats in 11 contests.     • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
      Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

      Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue.       Skubal did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out 12.

      Advice: Skubal continues to dominate as the 12 strikeouts were a season high and marked the first double-digit strikeout effort of the campaign for the ace lefty. It was the sixth time in seven games Skubal has allowed two or fewer earned runs, as the outing raised his ERA to 1.90 with a 0.77 WHIP and 53 strikeouts over 42.2 innings.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 and hit his fifth career grand slam Sunday against the Nationals.

      Spencer Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI as the Tigers fell to the Yankees on Sunday afternoon in New York.

      Advice: Torkelson smacked a two-out double off of Nestor Cortes in the second inning, but was left stranded there. He then got the Tigers on the board with a run-scoring double off of Ian Hamilton in the seventh inning. He’s still searching for his first home run of the season, but he does have 11 doubles and perhaps his bat is finally showing some signs of life.     • Tarik Skubal strikes out 12 in no-decision
      Tarik Skubal pitched well in a no-decision against the Yankees on Sunday afternoon, piling up 12 strikeouts over six innings of two-run baseball.

      Advice: The hard-throwing southpaw allowed six hits on the day and didn’t allow a base on balls. All of the damage done against him came in the first two innings, as Aaron Judge crushed a solo homer in the first and Oswaldo Cabrera added an RBI double in the second. Skubal generated 18 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the day — a whopping 12 of those on his changeup — while posting a ridiculous CSW of 44 percent.       Hunter Brown lasted 4 1/3 innings and allowed two runs Sunday in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Brown walked four and threw 91 pitches to get his 13 outs. His 13.1% walk rate this season is more than 50% higher than his previous career mark, and nothing else he’s doing is making up for that.
