      Advice: Romano was slated to throw off the mound over the weekend, but he will now take a break while the team determines the next steps.     • Jordan Romano shut down due to elbow soreness
      Jordan Romano has been shut down from throwing due to renewed right elbow soreness.

      Advice: Not good. Romano has been out since late May recovering from a right elbow issue and the fact that he’s still experiencing soreness isn’t good. The issue cropped up during a long-tossing session on Friday and the Blue Jays have shut him down for the moment to determine his next steps. It’ll be Chad Green continuing to close for Toronto for at least a couple additional weeks with both Romano and Yimi García (elbow) sidelined due to injury. Rotoworld Saturday, 11:33 am

      Estevez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Estevez has not put a runner on base over his last eight innings, striking out eight and earning seven saves and a win in that span. A groundout moved the phantom runner to third base in the 10th inning, but Estevez struck out the next two batters to protect the one-run lead. He's 14-for-17 in save chances with a 3.38 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB over 24 innings. This is arguably the best Estevez has ever looked in the majors, which will boost his trade value, though he's unlikely to be the primary closer on a contender if a deal comes to fruition.       Carlos Estévez struck out two while picking up a save in a scoreless inning of work against the Dodgers on Friday.

      Advice: Estévez has been one of the few bright spots for the Angels this year, and now has 14 saves on the season and a 3.38 ERA. With Los Angeles nowhere near contention for a postseason spot, it would seem likely that the 31-year-old is pitching for a new team before August.       Advice: Phillips cruised to the save on 11 pitches, punching out two of the three batters he faced. It was the fifth straight scoreless and hitless outing for the closer, who has allowed an earned run in only two of his 21 appearances this season.
