      Springer was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees due to a left hand contusion.

      Advice: Springer took a 93-mph fastball off his hand/wrist during the fifth inning. He remained in the game to run the bases and play defense, but he was eventually pinch hit for by Davis Schneider in the seventh frame. Precautionary imaging on Springer's hand came back negative for a fracture, and his ability to remain in the game immediately following the incident is a good sign he'll remain available for Saturday's contest.       George Springer was removed from Friday night’s battle against the Yankees after being hit on the left hand by a pitch thrown by Michael Tonkin.

      Advice: The Blue Jays announced that Springer underwent precautionary imaging on his hand that came back negative for any fractures.       Advice: Jung was slated to swing a bat Friday, but he'll have that evaluation pushed back a day. He has been on the injured list since April 2 with a fractured right wrist, and his rehab program with Triple-A Round Rock was shut down due to tendon inflammation. Jung could be activated off the injured list soon if his swing test Saturday goes well, though he'll likely be eased back into the action with planned off days if he does return.       Jung (wrist) will attempt to swing a bat Friday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Jung's return has been delayed due to inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist, but he's ready to test things out swinging a bat after resting for a week and receiving a cortisone shot. The third baseman could be activated soon if things go well in the cage Friday, but when Jung does return he might be eased back into action by playing every other day or receiving one off day per series, according to Grant.     • Accumulates six RBI in victory
      Springer went 3-for-3 with a pair of three-run home runs in Thursday's 9-2 win against the Yankees.

      Advice: Springer punished Yankees starter Carlos Rodon for two three-run homers in the first two innings to set the Blue Jays up for a big victory. The six RBI were a single-game career high for the veteran outfielder, who came into the contest with two home runs and six RBI over his previous 25 games combined. Springer batted an awful .137 through his first 21 contests of June but has gone 6-for-8 with three long balls and eight runs batted in over his past two games.       George Springer went 3-for-6 with a double, two home runs and six RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.



      Advice: Springer took Carlos Rodon deep in each of the first two innings. He now has eight home runs on the season. Springer has certainly struggled this year with a .205 average and .618 OPS with 23 RBI on the year.

      Nolan Gorman is not in the Cardinals’ starting lineup on Thursday.

      Advice: With the Cardinals facing a lefty, Gorman will head to the bench and the team will turn to Jose Fermin at second base. Gorman has been a good source of power this season with 16 home runs, but he’s also hitting .191 on the season with a 36 percent strikeout rate and has been worse in June with a .148 average and 38 percent strikeout rate in 24 games. However, he also has four steals in June, which has saved his fantasy value a bit, but he’s hard to roster in batting average leagues if you have ample power because of the drain he puts on your team with his average.
