    Advice: Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters that this was likely the final step before Yelich can return to the lineup. That could mean Yelich won’t take part in a rehab assignment, and assuming he recovers well from this session, the 32-year-old could be back in the lineup by the end of the week.   • Hits on field Monday

    Advice: It's the first time Yelich has hit on the field since he went on the injured list three weeks ago with a lower-back strain. Brewers manager Pat Murphy had indicated previously that it would likely be the final step before Yelich returns to action, although it's not clear whether he might need to go out on a rehab assignment first.   • Starting to hit for power
    Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base Sunday against the Mets.

    Advice: Arozarena took Edwin Diaz yard in the ninth inning to tie the game, tallying his fifth home run of the season and second in his last three starts. He also swiped his fifth base of the year and has yet to be caught. It's been an ugly start to the season for Arozarena, and even with this burst of power, he has failed to record multiple hits in a game since March 30.     Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

    Advice: Hernandez homered for the second time in three games and has tallied at least a hit in 10-of-12 games since April 23. The 31-year-old is slashing .252/.320/.468 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 23 runs and a 13:49 BB:K in 153 plate appearances. Hernandez is showing increased signs of power from a year ago but strikeouts still remain an issue.   • Strong showing in rehab start
    Luzardo (elbow) struck out six and allowed one hit and one walk over 5.2 scoreless innings in a rehab start with Single-A Jupiter on Sunday.

    Advice: Luzardo needed just 67 pitches to cruise through his 5.2 frames. Per Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com, Luzardo averaged 95.1 miles per hour and touched 96.4 mph with his four-seam fastball. The Marlins will likely wait a couple days to make sure Luzardo recovers from the rehab start without any issues, but he should be set up to return from the 15-day injured list for this weekend's series versus the Phillies.   • Feels good after throwing
    Sewald (oblique) said Sunday that he responded well to Saturday's inning of work in an extended spring training game, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. "I haven't felt anything in 10 days now," Sewald said.

    Advice: Following the encouraging news, Sewald plans to travel with the team to Cincinnati, where he could be activated for Tuesday's series opener against the Reds. He opened the season on the injured list and paused rehab is rehab after an appearance April 23. He downplayed the pause and was reticent to call it a setback; instead, Sewald chalked it up to panic and wanted a re-imaging to ease his mind.     Webb (3-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings.

    Advice: The Phillies scratched out a run versus Webb in the second before plating four more in the third, which was highlighted by Bryce Harper's three-run blast. Webb faced some more traffic in the fourth but ultimately got out of it unscathed with his day ending there after throwing 98 pitches. Following a dominant stretch of four consecutive outings allowing two runs or fewer and pitching at least seven innings, Webb has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts while failing to get more than 12 outs. The one positive note was that his six strikeouts set a season high. The Phillies scratched out a run against him in the second inning, then tacked on three more in the third including a two-run blast off the bat of Bryce Harper. Webb needed 98 pitches (59 strikes) to labor through 12 outs in this one, getting 10 swings and misses and posting a CSW of 26 percent.     Garcia went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a steal during Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.

    Advice: Garcia's third homer of the season was a solo shot in the third and represented the second of his four hits on the day, with three of those hits producing runs. It was the culmination of a big weekend for Garcia, who went 7-for-9 with two walks, two homers, eight RBI and four runs and a steal during the three-game set, raising his average to .337 in the process.
