      Jorge Soler (shoulder) is not in the Giants lineup on Monday against the Phillies.

      Advice: It’s the second straight missed game for Soler, who is battling shoulder discomfort. It doesn’t seem like a major concern, but it is certainly something to think about for fantasy managers in weekly lineup lock leagues. Lamonte Wade Jr. will DH for the Giants on Monday with Wilmer Flores getting the start at first base against a right-handed pitcher.     • Hurt by long ball in loss
      Fried (2-1) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven over seven innings.

      Advice: Fried quickly surrendered a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani in the opening frame. He was able to settle in thereafter, blanking the Dodgers over the next four innings before Teoscar Hernandez got a hold of one in the sixth to make it a 4-0 ballgame. Sunday was Fried's first outing this year giving up multiple home runs, but he's also gone at least six innings in three straight while striking out at least six in all three appearances. The 30-year-old owns a 4.23 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB in 38.1 innings thus far and lines up to face the Mets in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 8:18 am
       
    • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.       Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Ohtani moved into a tie for first place in the majors with his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, and his perfect day at the dish also brought his average up to .364, vaulting him past the Phillies' Alec Bohm (.360) for the best mark in baseball. The lefty-hitting Ohtani did all his damage against southpaws, opening the day with a two-run blast in the first inning and base hits in the third and sixth innings off Max Fried before tacking on a 464-foot solo shot off A.J.     • Dealing with shoulder issue
      Soler was out of the lineup Sunday versus the Phillies due to a shoulder issue, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

      Lodolo (3-1) yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against Baltimore.

      Advice: Lodolo got off to a rough start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He held the Orioles in check afterward until Adley Rutschman knocked an RBI double in the fifth. Lodolo had allowed just five runs over 24 innings to begin his 2024 campaign before Sunday's hiccup. Despite the poor outing, he owns a 2.79 ERA with a 37:8 K:BB through five starts.     • Nick Lodolo struggles in start vs Orioles
      Nick Lodolo allowed four runs on four hits in five innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

      Advice: It wasn’t all bad for Lodolo, who struck out six and walked two while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. Lodolo struggled out of the gates, allowing three runs on three hits in the first inning before settling down.     • Ohtani posts four hits, two homers to beat Braves
      Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored on Sunday, leading the Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the Braves.

      Advice: This guy is pretty good. Ohtani got things started in the first inning with a 412-foot two-run shot off of Max Fried and then absolutely annihilated a 464-foot solo homer in the eighth inning that left the bat at 110.6 mph. Ohtani now has 10 home runs and 25 RBI on the season. There’s not much you can do if you don’t already have him on your team, but you can admire the talent. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:36 pm
