    • Trea Turner (hamstring) running at 100 percent
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to running at 100 percent on Thursday.

Advice: Turner is trending towards making his long-awaited return to Philadelphia’s lineup at some point early next week. It sounds like the 30-year-old shortstop will skip a minor-league rehab assignment, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him get in a couple at-bats over the weekend prior to returning. • Blows fourth save Thursday
Holmes (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Holmes was one out away from his 20th save of the season before serving up a two-run double to Maikel Garcia. The 31-year-old closer had gone nine straight appearances without allowing a run and still carries an impressive 1.80 ERA for the season. As the ninth-inning man for the club with the most wins in MLB, he remains one of the safest options at the position with his 19 saves being tied for third most this season. • Clay Holmes takes blown save, loss in ninth
Clay Holmes took a blown save and a loss after giving up two runs and three hits in the ninth Thursday against the Royals.

Advice: Holmes made his own trouble by botching the play at first base on the soft infield single that started the ninth. Another single followed, and then Maikel Garcia ended the game with a double that stayed just fair down the right field line. It went as Holmes’ fourth blown save, even though this was only the second time in 31 appearances this season that he’s allowed an earned run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:26 pm

    • On base five times in loss
Perez went 2-for-2 with three walks in Wednesday's 11-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Perez walked three times in a game for the first time in his career. The catcher has gone just 6-for-33 (.182) over 10 contests in June, but he's shown rare patience at the plate by drawing eight walks in that span. For the season, he's at a .302/.381/.488 slash line with 10 home runs, 42 RBI, 26 runs scored, 15 doubles and no stolen bases, and his 9.0 percent walk rate is double his previous career high, which was in a 39-game sample as a rookie in 2011. • Taking seat Thursday
Stanton is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Kansas City.

Advice: Stanton slugged home runs in the second and third games of the series but has bookended the power output with days off in the first and now the fourth games. Aaron Judge will get a day out of the outfield and serve as the Yankees' designated hitter Thursday while Stanton rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:32 am

    • Getting looks at third base
Caballero went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: He has lost some playing time since the return of Taylor Walls but has still started four of the last six games. Caballero has made starts at second base, third base and shortstop and looks set to settle into a utility role for the Rays. The 27-year-old has also been productive of late, hitting two home runs and swiping three bags across his last 10 appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:51 am

    • Swipes 13th bag
Volpe went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base Wednesday against Kansas City in an 11-5 victory.

Advice: Volpe led off the game with a single and then stole second base before later coming around to score. The theft was his 13th of the campaign, pushing him past the halfway point as he seeks to surpass last season's total of 24 steals. Volpe has reached base at a much higher clip this season -- he's currently posting a .335 OBP compared to last year's .283 mark. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:56 pm

    • Homers in second straight game
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday in an 11-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Stanton flexed his power with a 449-foot two-run blast in the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run after an ugly weekend set against the Dodgers during which he went 0-for-14 with seven punchouts. Stanton is up to 17 homers and 40 RBI on the campaign along with a .233/.288/.491 slash line. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:42 pm

    • Tagged with loss Wednesday
Buehler (1-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Buehler gave up a three-run home run to Corey Seager in the fifth inning, and that ended up being the difference in this game. This was the sixth time in seven outings that Buehler has allowed at least three runs. He's likely still working on getting into a groove after an extended absence following his August 2022 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander has a 4.64 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB over 33 innings so far. He'll have a tough task in his next start, which is projected to be at Colorado. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:10 pm
