      Advice: After the Guardians took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, Clase was called on to close it out in the bottom of the frame. He struck out the first batter, then got Mauricio Dubón to line into a double play with the help of an outstanding diving catch by Steven Kwan.       Clay Holmes slammed the door on the Orioles on Wednesday night, getting the final five outs to preserve a two-run advantage.

      Advice: Holmes was called upon with two men on and one out in the eighth inning, and he quelled that threat by striking out Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman in succession to end the inning. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff single to Ryan O’Hearn and nothing more.       Ryan Helsley tossed a perfect ninth inning on Tuesday against the Tigers to collect his major league-leading 10th save of the season.
