Rutschman fell into a small eight-game slump, going 4-for-30 (.133) during that span, but has since gone 8-for-10 with two walks and five runs scored over his last two games. Clase ranks first in the American League with 22 saves, ranking behind only Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals, as the latter has 24 to lead the major leagues.       Emmanuel Clase hurled a scoreless ninth to pick up a save against the Mariners on Thursday.

      Advice: It’s already the 22nd save of the season for Clase, and the hunt for a 50-save season is certainly on. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit and procured a strikeout, and the scoreless frame puts his ERA at a dazzling 0.76.       Corbin Carroll is not in the Diamondbacks lineup on Thursday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Carroll has turned things around a bit in June, hitting .290 over 16 games with four steals and 17 runs scored. However, the power is not coming back yet. He has zero home runs in June and has just five RBI now that he has moved back up in the lineup for the Diamondbacks. You’re certainly not mad at his stats this month, but there shouldn’t be an expectation that the power will reemerge.
