    • On fire at Triple-A
Noel is slashing .402/.471/.705 with nine home runs and a 14.5-percent strikeout rate in his last 30 games for Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: With Kyle Manzardo failing to take a big-league job and run with it and Noel already being on the 40-man roster, Noel could get a shot as Cleveland's designated hitter sometime this summer. The righty-hitting slugger has huge raw power, and while he has seen 25 starts in the corner outfield spots this season, he's probably too big (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) to get regular starts in the outfield at the highest level. • Resting Wednesday
Rogers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Advice: Rogers had started behind the plate in three of Detroit's last four games while going 3-for-10 with a walk and two runs. He'll get a breather for the day game Wednesday while Carson Kelly draws the start at catcher. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:59 am
    • Returns, extends hitless streak
Benson started in left field and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Benson, who was back on the field after dealing with an elbow issue, continued to slump this month. He's gone 25 at-bats without a hit, and his batting average dropped to .188 following the loss. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:17 am
    • Could rejoin team this weekend
Thomas (hamstring) began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and could rejoin the Diamondbacks this weekend, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Thomas began what is expected to be the final stage of his rehab assignment, playing seven innings in center field while going 1-for-3 with an RBI for Reno. The outfielder has 18 plate appearances thus far on rehab, with most of those coming in the Arizona Complex League. He could get more looks against advanced pitching while with the Aces over the next two days before potentially rejoining Arizona on Friday in time for the weekend series against the Athletics. • On cusp of rehab assignment
Manager Joe Espada said Tuesday that Garcia (elbow) could begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League his weekend, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 27-year-old threw a 32-pitch live bullpen session over the weekend and is just about ready for game action. Garcia will likely need to throw another bullpen session before being cleared for games, at which point he'll jump into a lengthy rehab assignment as he finishes up his recovery from May 2023 Tommy John surgery. • Luis Garcia (elbow) ready for rehab assignment
Luis Garcia (elbow) will make a minor league rehab start this weekend in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada divulged to reporters that Garcia is ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment as he continues to work his way back from last year’s Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old righty is going to need at least a couple weeks to build up before he’s ready to make his season debut. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him back until some point after next month’s All-Star break. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:15 pm

    • Alek Thomas (hamstring) resumes rehab assignment
Alek Thomas (hamstring) will resume a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Reno.

Advice: Thomas hit pause on his rehab assignment last week after experiencing some renewed hamstring soreness, but he’s apparently feeling well enough to get back into game action already. The 24-year-old had been out since late March due to a hamstring strain and several setbacks along the way during his rehabilitation process. However, he appears to be on track to return at some point in early July. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:12 pm

    • Back in action Tuesday
Benson (elbow) is starting in left field and batting eighth Tuesday against the Pirates.

Advice: The 26-year-old sat out Monday after being hit by a pitch in the left elbow Sunday, but X-rays came back negative and he's back in the lineup Tuesday. Benson has slumped hard in June with a .442 OPS, and he's 0-for-21 over his past nine contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:14 pm
    • Remains in organization
Wynns cleared waivers and accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirerreports.

Advice: Wynns was designated for assignment by the Reds over the weekend but will stick in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 33-year-old spent just two days on the big-league roster and didn't see game action. He has a .253/.312/.414 slash line with four homers in 29 contests for Louisville this year.
