      Advice: Chisholm drove in the Marlins' first run with a two-out triple off Sonny Gray in the sixth inning. The Cardinals couldn't retire Chisholm in any of his five plate appearances, and he drew three walks in a game for just the second time in his career.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-2 with an RBI on Monday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

      Advice: Chisholm walked three times in the extra-inning marathon, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances, but it wasn’t enough as Miami lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games since June 7. He also delivered a game-tying RBI triple against Cardinals starter Sonny Gray in the sixth inning.       Carroll will rejoin the Diamondbacks in Washington for the start of their series against the Nationals on Tuesday after he underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed no significant damage to his left side, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks ordered up the MRI for Carroll after he experienced a "pull feeling" while making a throw in the seventh inning of Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox. He left the game shortly thereafter, though he was in positive spirits when describing his injury after the game. The MRI seems to have validated Carroll's optimism, and though he looks set to avoid a stint on the injured list and will rejoin the team, the Diamondbacks could still hold him out of the lineup for Tuesday's series opener if he's still dealing with some discomfort. Fantasy managers in leagues with weekly lineup decisions will likely want to keep close tabs on Carroll's status leading up to the 6:45 p.m. ET start time of Tuesday's contest.       According to Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro, Corbin Carroll’s MRI came back clean and he could start on Tuesday against the Nationals.



      Advice: Carroll had an MRI on Monday morning that “did not reveal significant damage to his left side.” The 23-year-old left Sunday’s game following a “pulling feeling” the 23-year-old felt while making a throw in the seventh inning. He is now headed to Washington to be with his teammates and “it is possible he will be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday night.” Diamondbacks fans and fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief.

      Kelenic went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Rays.

      Advice: The 24-year-old homered for the second straight game since moving into the leadoff spot. Kelenic has six long balls on the season, but three of them have come in the last seven games, and he's slashing .293/.341/.561 through 44 plate appearances in June.       Cowser went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base Sunday against the Phillies.

      Advice: Cowser recorded a homer and a steal in the same game for the first time in his career, while the two hits he recorded represent just his second multi-hit effort since May 19. In total, Cowser reached base all four times he came to the plate, including on a walk and a hit-by-pitch.       Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.
