      The Royals are hopeful that Wacha, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a small, non-displaced fracture in his left foot, will be able to rejoin the active roster in 3-to-4 weeks, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

      Advice: Though he's without an official timeline for a return, Wacha at least looks poised to avoid surgery to address the injury, which he sustained when he was hit by a line drive in the first inning of his start Friday against the Padres. According to MLB.com, Wacha will be able to play catch on a knee to help keep his arm conditioned, but a firmer target date won't come into focus until the soreness in his fractured foot subsides and he's able to put full weight on the leg when he throws.     • Juan Soto crushes go-ahead homer in ninth Sunday
      Juan Soto crushed a go-ahead two-run homer off of Camilo Doval in the ninth inning on Sunday, powering the Yankees to a come-from-behind 7-5 victory over the Giants.

      Advice: The Yankees entered the ninth inning trailing 5-3, but things got tighter in a hurry after a one-out RBI triple off the bat of Anthony Volpe. Two pitches later, Soto uncorked a 398-foot (108.2 mph EV) two-run shot that gave the Yankees a 6-5 lead. The 25-year-old superstar also opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 430-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Blake Snell in the top half of the first inning.       Aaron Judge singled twice, walked twice and swiped a pair of bases as the Yankees rallied to defeat the Giants on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.

      Advice: Judge singled off of Blake Snell in the opening inning and stole second base, but the Yankees were unable to cash him in. He also drew a walk during the Bombers’ four-run rally in the ninth inning, swiped second base, took third on a throwing error and scored on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.       Senga (shoulder/triceps) took part in light-to-moderate throwing on the field Saturday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

      Advice: Mets manager Carlos Mendoza characterized Senga's throwing as being mechanical in nature, but the activity nonetheless represents a step in the right direction after the Mets shut down the right-hander in late May, when he received a cortisone injection to address inflammation in his triceps. Senga initially opened the season on the injured list with a right posterior shoulder capsule strain before he experienced tightness in his triceps in May. Even though he's resumed his throwing program, Senga is without a clear timeline for a return. Given the multiple checkpoints he'll need to hit in his rehab prior to being activated from the 60-day IL, Senga looks unlikely to be activated until at least July.       Advice: Irvin entered the seventh with a two-run lead having allowed only a single run, but a leadoff homer in the inning by Jose Caballero cut the lead in half and he was pulled after facing one more batter, prior to the lineup turning back over for the Rays. It was Irvin's first quality start since May 3, though he's allowed no more than three earned runs and has posted five scoreless outings in each of his last nine games. Throughout that stretch, he's thrown 47 innings with a 1.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 30 strikeouts.
