    • Three hits in Thursday's win
Brown went 3-for-6 with a double, a stolen base and three runs scored in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings win over the Rockies.

Advice: Brown didn't get much of a chance to drive in runs Thursday -- the first three batters in the Athletics' order went a combined 2-for-16 with two walks. Brown made up for it by hitting well and serving as the spark to get the Oakland offense going. He also scored the winning run in a frantic 11th-inning comeback. The outfielder's three-hit effort marked his fifth straight game with at least one hit, a stretch that's raised his slash line to .206/.254/.357 for the year. He's added five home runs, three steals, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored over 134 plate appearances. Brown has often found a spot in the lineup versus right-handed pitchers, but there will be a bit more pressure for him to perform with Daz Cameron called up Thursday to add to the Athletics' outfield depth. • Cardinals outright Alfonso Rivas III to Triple-A
Cardinals sent 1B Alfonso Rivas III outright to Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Rivas went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 27-year-old slugger has the option to either elect free agency or stick around as extra organizational depth at Triple-A Memphis. Rotoworld Today, 5:02 pm
    • Davis hits fourth home run Thursday
J.D. Davis went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Davis’s home run in the eighth inning off Tyler Kinley brought the Athletics to within one run. It was his fourth home run of the season. Davis is hitting just .220 with two home runs since being activated from the injured list on May 3rd. Rotoworld Today, 4:11 pm

    • Not starting Thursday
Turner isn't in Toronto's lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Turner will get a breather Thursday after reaching base three times during Wednesday's win over the White Sox. Daniel Vogelbach will fill in as the Jays' DH and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:05 pm

    • Getting breather Thursday
Canha isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Thursday's game versus Toronto.

Advice: Canha will get a day to regroup after going 0-for-15 with five strikeouts across his past four games. Matt Vierling, Wenceel Perez and Kerry Carpenter will start across the outfield while Riley Greene serves as Detroit's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 11:40 am

    • Outrighted to Triple-A
The Cardinals outrighted Rivas to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday after he cleared waivers.

Advice: While no longer on St. Louis' 40-man roster, Rivas will remain in the organization as depth. The 27-year-old is sporting just a .246/.364/.323 batting line with zero home runs this season at Memphis. Rotowire.com Today, 11:18 am
    • Losing out on playing time
Nevin is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Nevin seems to have lost hold of an everyday role in the Oakland outfield; he's now been on the bench in five consecutive matchups versus right-handed pitching. The 26-year-old should at least continue to see regular starts against left-handed pitching as a platoon mate for the lefty-hitting Seth Brown. Rotowire.com Today, 11:02 am

    • Gaining foothold in lineup
Goodman will serve as the Rockies' designated hitter and No. 7 batter in Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Goodman will make his fourth start in five games -- and his third at DH -- after going 4-for-12 with two doubles, an RBI, a run and a stolen base across his prior three contests. His inclusion in the lineup Thursday comes while the Rockies are resting four key regulars (Kris Bryant, Charlie Blackmon, Elias Diaz and Brendan Rodgers), but Goodman's recent usage suggests that he'll be a priority in the lineup over Elehuris Montero, who didn't start either of the past two days following Bryant's return from the injured list. • Receiving Thursday off
Bryant is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Bryant will be joined on the bench by Elias Diaz, Charlie Blackmon and Brendan Rodgers as the Rockies rest four key regulars for the day game after a night game. After being activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Bryant started at first base in both of the first two games of the series in Oakland, going 1-for-8 with two walks between the contests. Elehuris Montero will replace Bryant at first base Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 10:44 am
